Asphalt 8: Airborne Tips & Tricks – 6 Hints to Help You Win More Races

Asphalt 8: Airborne is the latest installment in the “best Android racing game series” out there, though the title, which was developed by Gameloft, is also available for iOS users on their iPhone and iPad. The game lets you perform dynamic, high-speed aerial stunts in an intense driving experience and also promises an all-new physics engine. 80 percent of the 56 cars included in the game are new, and by that we’re talking about cars from actual licensed automakers including Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Pagani. You can race in nine different and exotic settings, and while racing, you can discover hidden shortcuts that can help you win more races. Now, if you want to keep winning in this game, then you may want to take a look at our Asphalt 8: Airborne tips and tricks before you burn more rubber on those supercars.

1. Earn More Money Per Race And Unlock More Stuff By Earning New Stars

On each stage, you’ll see unlockable stars, and once you unlock them, you can buy in-game items and gain access to new races and seasons. The only way you can unlock them is to get a new star, which will also give you a one-time money bonus once the race is over. So with that said, you’ll want to unlock as many stars, and if possible, every star in each race you enter.

2. Learn Every Track’s Nooks And Crannies

As we mentioned in the Asphalt 8: Airborne description above, you can discover hidden shortcuts and alternate routes. Then again, some of these alternate routes may actually be long-cuts, but that’s the beauty of the game. You’re free to repeat races and learn the track to the fullest, mastering the routes and looking for hidden passages and shortcuts. Keep on grinding and remember where you found those shortcuts and you’ll have a better chance of winning convincingly.

3. Upgrade Handling And Top Speed First

These are the two most important upgrades in Asphalt 8: Airborne, and the first two you should buy. Handling, of course, allows you to control your vehicle smoothly, instead of you dealing with the automotive equivalent of a bucking bronco. Top speed, on the other hand, increases the maximum speed of your car.

4. Drift During Curves For More Nitro

Need more nitro to make your car go even faster? Tap on the break button while negotiating curves, and the longer you drift, the more nitro you can get for your ride.

5. If You Should Spend Real Money, Buy A Car Pack

When it comes to these tips and tricks, we usually don’t mention anything that will involve you spending even a cent of your hard-earned cash. But let’s face it – sometimes we can’t help but make some in-app purchases. If you should go down that route, we suggest buying car packs, but only at a point when you don’t have certain car classes just yet.

6. The Game Is Called ‘Airborne’ For A Reason

Now, this is something you won’t see, even in the movies, but there is a reason why Gameloft went with the name Asphalt 8: Airborne. That’s because you’ll be rewarded by doing more airborne stunts. It’s a good idea to hit the nitro right before you send your car off a platform, and once you’re in the air, go for some barrel rolls and make the most out of your airtime.
