Anno 2205: Asteroid Miner Tips, Tricks & Cheats to Complete More Levels

Ubisoft’s Anno 2205: Asteroid Miner may sound like a rather ambitious title for Android and iOS, especially if you consider that it’s made by the same video gaming giant that gave us the Assassin’s Creed franchise. But you need not worry if you’re thinking this is a sophisticated space-age RPG; actually it’s a galactic Match 3 adventure with more than 180 missions. You’ll be asked to combine, switch, and move asteroid materials, use drones to boost your game as the de facto power-ups, and research up to 120+ upgrades. You’ll even get to discover galaxies far away from our planet as you solve these puzzles.

All told, this game is still more complicated than your average King-created Match 3 title, given the space RPG elements included, though at the end of the day, it all boils down to matching three of the same pieces or more. Want to finish more puzzles and get further in the game? Check out the our collection of Anno 2205: Asteroid Miner tips, tricks and hints that can help you complete more stages and keep moving forward.

1. Make The Longest Matches Possible

This is a vintage Match 3 technique that also applies in Anno 2205. When matching asteroids, you should always go for the longest possible match. Longer matches mean higher bonuses, and if you make your match long enough, you could get up to a 100 percent bonus. If you’re trying to destroy all the asteroids or collect so many elements, long matches will definitely be your best friend. Look at the board carefully and plan things out; visualize how one match could affect the pieces above it. Take stock of these things as you try to match more than just three identical pieces.

2. Ignore One Element For The Other

On some of the matches, you may want to ignore one of the element types just so you can allow that specific type of element to appear more frequently on your board, thus making it much easier for you to match far more than three pieces, and get bigger bonuses. And speaking of bonuses, here’s a bonus tip – try matching one or two element types so you can fill the board out with the pieces you need.

3. Replay Levels You Weren’t Able To Complete

If some levels are frustrating you, then go ahead and repeat them as often as you want, as no one series of drops per level is the same. Again, you want to look long and hard at the board before you start trying to solve it, so you can come up with a sound strategy and make more matches, not to mention longer ones.

4. Place Your Drones Smartly

As we said, drones are this game’s equivalent of power-ups or special pieces, and you’ll get them when you make long matches. But unlike in other Match 3 games, you can move the drones you create. That means it’s up to you to decide where to place them; typically, you want to place drones in areas where you could potentially take out a lot of pieces. Also be sure you’re regularly upgrading your drones with iridium.
