Alien Robot Monsters Cheats, Tips & Strategies: 9 Fantastic Hints You Need to Know

Alien Robot Monsters is a game for iOS and Android devices that offers a sci-fi take on classic tower defense gaming. According to developer Kraftix, the game boasts of a 16-bit era look and feel, and that’s the backdrop for the rather interesting storyline behind the title. A colony ship with some space marines onboard has landed on an Earth-like planet, but the problem is that it appears to be “infested with hostile robotic life forms” whose goal is to wipe the planet free off all humans. The game has “lots” of towers, marines, robots, and levels, and it also promises to unlock more of these even after you’ve completed 25 levels. Specifically, there are 23 towers with their own specific upgrades, and more than 60 of those upgrades all in all.

Those are the basics of A.R.M. in a nutshell, but since we believe you’ll need more than the basics to push forward, we’ve got an exciting Alien Robot Monsters cheats, tips and strategy guide that you can refer to if you ever get stuck somewhere in the game.

1. Go For A Bottleneck Placement For Your Towers

You want to go with this setup for one reason – this makes it easier for you to attack enemy units at the same time. So how does it work? First, make sure you’ve got two towers that aren’t too far from each other, thus confusing enemies with some well-timed crossfire. Also have an extra soldier manning your Military Depot towers, and equip them with some ranged weapons as well.

2. Deploy Your Marines Onto The Battlefield

One of the cool things about Alien Robot Monsters is the ability to deploy your soldiers, or your Marines. Have them fight on the battlefield itself once they’re close to your towers or other soldiers; this could give your attack the extra bite it needs to get rid of the enemy aliens. Be sure you’ve got enough Scrap before you do this; once you do, tap on the Depot tower to spawn and send off some Marines. Just be sure you’ve got that extra Marine we told you about above, and have him added to the Depot tower before you can make use of this upgrade.

In fact, the above mentioned Marines are classified as “Deployable Troopers,” which is as simple, yet descriptive as you can get. They’re able to block enemies from moving and attack them from close range. As a bonus tip, set aside at least three or four of these Marines for deployment once you’re building your Barracks.

3. Choose Your Upgrades Wisely

Actually, we should say that it’s important to have your towers properly set up before upgrading. And once you start your upgrades, you’ll want to focus on Marines, Headquarters, and Technology, not in that particular order as all three are equally important. However, keep in mind that your upgrade stars will only cover Marines and Headquarters once you begin your campaign.

4. Read The Planetopedia

The Planetopedia is your one-stop resource for just about any type of necessary and useful information. Check it out by pausing your game during battle or by going to the mission select screen and you’ll see a wealth of details on different enemy units, as well as the different towers you can use and unlock. It pays to know the towers you’re working with and the enemies you’re up against, so read, by all means – it could be what you need to last longer in this game.

5. Utilize Your Scrap Wisely

Scrap, as you can see, is a key resource in this game, and you need to utilize it properly. One way to do this is to strategically move your Marines from one position to another. Devote just the right amount of space so that you can kill the most enemy forces. As long as your moving soldiers are still alive, you’ll be able to save some Scrap so you can continue spawning Marines. To this end, you may want to increase their close range attack stats.

We’ve got a couple bonus tips that could help you save on that Scrap. When upgrading, be sure to include the Salvage Headquarters and Field Recovery stats so that you’ve got more starting Scrap to work with, and more Scrap as a reward for breaking down robots.

6. Know The Importance Of Depot Towers

Depot Towers are among the most fundamental towers available to you in A.R.M., not to mention among the most affordable to purchase and upgrade. Their main purpose is to deal direct, ranged damage to the enemy, which means you’ll want to start out with them. They’re simple, but can be very useful; you want about two or three of these Depot Towers on the field at all times.

7. Purchase Tech Towers

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Technology Towers do not come cheap. But when you can afford them, they’re worth it – they can dish out some fancy support attacks, and these attacks will become especially useful as you move forward and complete more levels. Upgrade your Technology and you can lower the amount of Scrap you need to spawn Tech Towers and make them more powerful, even when the enemy has some shields up.

8. Aside From Your Marines And Towers, You’ve Also Got The Bazooka

Keep an eye out for this weapon. You will certainly need it at some point in the game, as it can deal out some awesome and impressive damage on the enemy.

9. When All Else Fails, Regroup And Reset Things

If you’re dealing with a level that’s simply too hard to finish at a certain point in the game, you can regroup by resetting your global upgrades. That means re-allocating your upgrade stars and seeing if there’s an upgrade strategy that works better for you. You’ll want to change your strategies regularly anyway, so it never hurts to pull back a little and reset your global upgrades.
