The latest entry in Hitcents’ puzzle-adventure series aims to inspire kids to get creative and encourage parents to join them on their journey across Stickville, a place where the only limits are the boundaries of your imagination and what you can whip up with a set of magic pencils.

If you still need convincing that EPIC 3 is the game, we all need right now, here are five more reasons why you should download it pronto…

More story content on the way

With a vast hub world to explore and an unlimited sketchbook to fill up with heroes and tools of your own design, nobody can accuse Draw a Stickman: EPIC 3 of being light on content, but the features it boasts at launch are merely the beginning. Hitcents has confirmed that the story and the in-game world will be expanded over time through the release of new episodic content. The developer promises that future updates to EPIC 3 will add additional worlds to explore and experiences to share, so longevity won’t be an issue.

At launch, the game comes bundled with Book 1: Tree of Life which consists of three worlds with three levels in each. Hitcents is yet to confirm how many additional books will be added to EPIC 3 in future updates, but rest assured, there’s new content in the pipeline.

World-building fun

There’s much more to Draw a Stickman: EPIC 3 than puzzles, adventuring and getting creative with those magic pencils; you also get to reshape the hub world as you progress. When the adventure begins, Stickville will be in need of some love and attention, and each time you play through a certain side quest or mission, you will earn Ink, a collectable resource that helps players rebuild Stickville and complete missions for the townsfolk. It’s a game based on creativity and customisation, and that extends to the world it takes place in.

Secrets to unearth

Draw a Stickman: EPIC 3 promises to offer stacks of longevity. Not only is there a vast hub world to explore, plenty of missions to tackle and puzzles to solve, there’s also a wealth of hidden bonuses scattered across Stickville’s levels, which include canyon cliffs, dense jungles and ancient temples. Secrets, loot and treasure chests have been deposited around every world, giving players the incentive to search every nook and cranny as they journey across them. You will need to uncover every unlockable to earn the full three stars on each level, so there’s heaps of replay value here.

Draw your own hero

Lots of games give players the option to customise their character and tweak them based on their personal preferences, but not to the same degree as Draw a Stickman: EPIC 3. The game lets you draw your own protagonist from scratch. Creativity and personalisation have always been a staple of the series, but this time, Hitcents has pulled out all the stops. There are no restrictions imposed on your character design. If you can draw it, you can play as it.

Returning favourites

Although Draw a Stickman: EPIC 3 is accessible enough to serve as a jumping-on point for newcomers to the series, whether they happen to be kids, parents or neither, this is the latest entry in a long-running franchise and returning fans will encounter many familiar faces in this instalment. The eponymous Stickman now serves as a standalone character that players must work alongside, and the latest sequel also sees a fan-favourite villain make a comeback. You won’t find any spoilers about the big bad’s identity here, so you’ll just have to play the game to find out who it is.

Draw a Stickman: EPIC 3 is available as a free download from Google Play and the App Store, as well as on PC through the Steam platform.
