Looty Dungeon Tips, Cheats & Guide: 7 Hints for Delving Deeper into the Endless Dungeon

Looty Dungeon is a new dungeon crawler created by Taco Illuminati for iOS where you can choose from tons of unique heroes who have their own abilities, and take part in endless dungeon crawls and epic boss battles. Well, that’s one point you can chalk up for the casual bit, as the dungeons are repeatedly referred to as endless, but there’s far more content in this game than what you may think at first.

That also means this game may be a bit more complicated than you think, but it doesn’t always have to be that way. With this Looty Dungeon strategy guide, you can make it farther through those endless dungeons, have more heroes to control in the game, and experience more success than you would if you just downloaded the game and played it straight away.

1. Kill Everyone

Although, it may be your first instinct to be non-confrontational, especially since it seems so easy to evade the monsters and head out the door of the dungeon, there is a caveat. That caveat is having to kill all the monsters so that you can open the door and make it to the next level. In other words, you need to plan your route carefully, and make sure you have an opportunity to kill all the monsters before making it to the door. Once again, the thing to do here is to kill all monsters, as opposed to merely some of them.

2. Not All Monsters Are Created Equal

Just like the game promises that all heroes have their own unique abilities, the monsters included here also have their share of differences to speak of. Some monsters can easily be killed by the traps, while there are others that only begin moving once you’re near them. Making things more interesting, there are also monsters whom you need to hit at the right place and at the right time in order to destroy. Remember this when going through the dungeon, and use your knowledge of monsters to kill them as quickly as possible, and work on them the right way.

3. Haste Makes Waste

It might sound like a counterproductive thing to do, as you’re dealing with the world disintegrating as you make your moves. But it’s important to move with purpose, and not rush or force the issue in any way, shape, or form. Of course, you should be as quick-witted as you could, and planning could make a world of difference, but rushing wouldn’t help things either. As you’ll find out, the time you’re allotted isn’t that restrictive after all, which should allow you to plan things on the fly, or wait it out if you have to.

4. When Should You Watch Ad Videos?

Like many a game, Looty Dungeon allows you to watch video advertisements for a number of reasons. Watching ads, for starters, can earn you extra gold – that’s 100 gold units per ad. You can also watch ads so you can continue playing after you get killed. But keeping that in mind, and remembering that this is an endless game, you would only want to take the second option if you were close to beating your high score. Otherwise, there’s no point watching an ad for just one restart after dying, when you can pay 100 gold for four restarts. The ads in this game aren’t infinite, and they could run out if you watch them too often, simply for the sake of continuing where you left off!

5. Which Hero Should You Choose?

This would all depend on your desired playing style, and it’s recommended that you try all the heroes out to see which one suits you the best. But to give you an idea of what to expect, here’s a quick primer on some of the heroes. For starters, the Archer excels when it comes to long range attacks, as what one may expect, but is also harder to control due to that long-range ability. The Fairy is able to attack in all directions, but has only one unit of health to speak of, meaning she can die easily if you’re not careful. The Jester is slightly better off with two health points, but can attack in “only” three directions.

At the end of the day, it’s best to try out as many heroes as possible, but as a general rule of thumb, you want to work with the ones who have the most health points, as more health means more staying power in the dungeons.

6. Destroy Items Around You

A lot of things in the levels can be destroyed, which would allow you to progress faster and not waste any time. For example, you can literally beat a path to the door by destroying boxes, treasure chests, and other items. Beyond these boxes ideally carrying items, they are most useful because your goal is to make it out of the door, and because destroying them can help you do that faster.

7. All Levels Are Randomly Generated

Looty Dungeon has great replay value for the simple reason that all levels are randomly generated. That means you may encounter monsters at different places, and face different obstacles each time you play the game. But if you want to make it farther more consistently despite the randomness of the levels, the best thing to do is to practice, practice, practice. The difficulty level will be similar anyway when comparing one Level 10 to the other, so you don’t really have to worry about those random levels. The more you practice, the easier you’ll make it to certain milestone levels in the game.
