Blaze of Battle Tips, Cheats & Strategy Guide to Defeat Your Enemies

Blaze of Battle is an immersive new game for Android and iOS devices where you can raise an army, lead your dragon and knights to glory, and build your city as you fight against millions of real-life players worldwide. You can join an alliance to improve your position in the game and to make friends (as SLG helpfully explains), and prepare yourself against other human players’ attacks. Other features include the ability to research new technologies to boost your city’s development, defeat monsters to get rare equipment, and forge equipment to make your dragon become more powerful. There are also events which you can take part in to win rewards.

Can you build up that city and train that army to prepare yourself for the challenges that lie out there? We can help you out with that, but before anything else, you need to learn the basics of the game. So here are some Blaze of Battle tips and tricks that are written with the beginner in mind.

1. Follow The Quests First And Foremost

If you’ve played city management games, particularly those where you have to compete with other real-life players in a MMORTS setting, you know how important this is. Almost all of these games have quests which you would need to follow, and their purpose is to get your city/base up to speed and ensure that you have more than enough resources on hand. And if you want to move through these quests faster, there’s a couple quick quest buttons found at the bottom left, which should allow you to make the process quicker and more convenient. Click on the buttons to move on to the next quest, and on Fast Complete in particular to get things moving faster.

2. Make Sure That All Three Queues Are Busy

The game comes with three distinct building queues, and it’s important that each of those queues have something going on at any given time in the game. The operative word above is “distinct”—each of the queues have different purposes, with one for creating buildings, one for training your troops, and one for army marching. Keep those queues filled so that you can make the most out of your time playing the game. And if you’re waiting for a building to complete, you can have your army scout a computer enemy to keep yourself even busier.

There’s a separate queue for research purposes, and it isn’t listed together with the other three. Also be sure you’ve got research going on at the same time, as this gives you the technological advances that you need to move forward and have a better city than most of the other human players.

3. Before Attacking, Go Scouting First

Scouting AI bases is easy; the computer AI is generally easier to beat than human-controlled bases, and you know how computer AI can be quite simplistic, right? But when it comes to human players, you should make doubly sure to scout their bases. That will allow you to get an overview that shows you information on their buildings and their troops, although the depth and quality of the information will depend on the quality of your scouting. There is one catch, however, and that’s the fact that players will be given the heads up that they’ve been scouted. Sharper players will make the necessary adjustments, so expect the unexpected when you go out on the attack.

4. Redeem Those Free Gifts

See that orange chest that’s found at the bottom right corner of your screen? That chest will open from time to time, and when it opens, you should go ahead and redeem the freebies that are found within. Most of the time, you will get more resources, but sometimes you will get gems, which are the game’s premium currency, and you may also get some VIP time, which allows you to enjoy some special privileges. In order to make the most out of the freebies Blaze of Battle has to give you, turn on your phone’s notifications so that you’re informed the moment you’ve got something available to redeem.

5. Join An Alliance To Speed Things Up

Of course, this should go without saying. This is a game where you will be competing against other human players, and in order to survive and get ahead, you’ll have to join an alliance as soon as possible. So what does this mean for you if you join an alliance? For one, your build times will soon reach the half-hour range, and that could leave you more than a bit impatient – we know how it feels, especially when you’re unable to use the free speed-ups anymore. You can either opt for the time boosters, which can be quite hard to acquire, or better yet, you can get help from the other members of your alliance.

Tap on the yellow-colored Help button, and that’s going to alert other members of your alliance and let them you know working hard on a building or something else. You get a couple of minutes off the build time for each alliance member who comes over to help, though you should also make sure to do your part and lend a helping hand when someone else hits the Help button. That said, make sure the alliance you’re joining has more than its fair share of active players, for more chances of people helping out.
