The App Store has welcomed yet another zombie game for you, even if Halloween was more than one week ago. Bulkypix’s Zombie Hero: Revenge of Kiki promises old school beat ‘em up action, as well as comics, zombies, and combos, with special emphasis on the last word. Interestingly, you’ll be playing as tough, classy, and charismatic villains like the ones you see in movie trailers, and fighting against “boring” heroes, while stringing together combos and fighting zombies. It’s an interesting game, to be sure, although some claim that you’re still playing as a hero. Maybe anti-hero would be the right term instead?
So now that you know what the game is about, let’s get to some Zombie Hero: Revenge of Kiki tips and tricks that can get you off to the right start in this game.
1. Try To Lure The Zombies Into A Tight Spot
Combos are the heart of your attack, and they are able to reach multiple zombies at the same time. If you want to get rid of them as quickly as possible, the best thing to do is to trap them into a tight corner by running around in circles. Once they’ve all been lured into a corner, unleash your combos to dispose of them at the same time. Preferably, you want to use the Dragon Slash combo due to its wider range, or any other similar combo that covers a wide range of enemies.
As a bonus tip, remember that combos are broken once you’ve taken a hit, so string together as many moves as possible without getting hit.
2. How To Carry Out Special Combos
It is possible to string together a combo that isn’t officially considered as one. What you can do here is to change attack in the middle of the combo, then finish off your ersatz combo in such a way that you’re able to get more than four hits in. One simple example would be to punch thrice, kick two times, punch twice, then finally kick twice; this would allow five extra hits to go into the aforementioned Dragon Slash. Your attack will be just as quick as the usual combo, but with more damage than usual.
3. Be Quick When Gathering Orbs
When you see orbs, you shouldn’t waste a second trying to gather them. Collect them manually before they disappear, and once again, don’t dilly-dally – they will only be there for a short period of time.
Fortunately, orbs become larger as you begin to deal with tougher zombies. In this case, go for the larger orbs first, followed by the smaller ones, so that you can catch orbs much easier and have a bigger number of them once you complete a level.
4. Grind For Orbs
At some point, the stages in this game will become harder, which may require you to replay a stage or two you’ve already completed. That way, you can gather enough orbs to level your character up and make him better. Keep grinding, or repeating already-completed levels, until you’ve improved your character’s health, defense, and/or attack power.
