Solitaire TriPeaks Beginner’s Guide: Tips, Tricks & Strategies to Get Coins and Complete More Levels

There are mobile games that pit you against lords of darkness, where you have to assemble a roster of both sexy and stylish heroes to beat the tar out of other players in a PVP leaderboard.

Solitaire TriPeaks is not one of those games.

solitaire tripeaks guide

Solitaire TriPeaks is as simple as it gets – and that’s not a bad thing. All you have to do is clear the board of all cards in every stage. It’s an incredibly chill game that uses a tiki aesthetic to help you relax and destress from work or anything else. Solitaire TriPeaks is available on both the Google Play Store and the App Store.

But while Solitaire TriPeaks is super relaxing to play, some players may still want a headstart on the game – especially on how to get more coins, as you’ll need a steady source of them to keep playing. If you’re one of those players, read on and check out our Solitaire TriPeaks beginner’s guide!

Solitaire TriPeaks Basics

Solitaire TriPeaks has a simple objective in each stage: clear all cards from the board.

solitaire tripeaks game
Trickier than it seems.

To do this, you’ll need to use solitaire mechanics to remove cards. Simply put, you draw a card at the start of the game, and you can then remove one card on the board that’s either one higher or lower than your card. The card you remove then becomes your current card, and you continue until you’ve cleared the board.

Stars and Stages

You can complete each strage in Solitaire TriPeaks at your own pace, or you could challenge yourself and try to achieve the 3 star goals in each level.

At the top of the screen in each stage, you’ll see three panels – one for completion, labeled goal, another for streaks, and one for time.

solitaire tripeaks stars
Play how you want to play though.

The goal star is the easiest to achieve as you get it automatically when you complete the stage. The time star is a little trickier – you’ll have a certain amount of time allotted per stage, and to get the star, you need to complete the stage before the timer runs out (which is a lot easier said than done).

Finally, the streak star is the most difficult star to attain, as you’ll need to achieve a certain streak count in the stage, which luckily doesn’t need to be in one single streak. Streaks will also award you extra coins for partially filling up the streak bar.

Boosters

To help you in your task of getting all stars, you can purchase various boosters to help you.

I need more time!

These bonuses range from a simple yet effective extra 30 seconds to a double multiplier bonus on any streak, making it that much easier to nab that streak star. There are also unique bonuses that can apply different effects, such as destroying all the traps on trapped cards.

Use with caution.

However, these boosters cost a hefty amount of coins, so be absolutely sure you need to purchase a booster before you invest in it. You can also buy boosters while within a game, at no extra cost.

Bonus Cards

What shall I use this on…?

Occasionally, you’ll see face-up colored cards on the board. These cards provide powerful bonuses that can turn the game in your favor, but be sure to time their use wisely!

Extra Cards

Each card you haven’t drawn from your pile becomes bonus gold at the end of a round. Although this bonus is very minimal, it’s still something to keep in mind.

If you find yourself running out of cards, you don’t have to end the game there. You can buy 5 more cards at the cost of 500 coins – though these cards are dealt randomly, so you might end up with a bad hand anyway. You can also do this as many times as you like, though each time you do it, the price incrementally increases.

In the first few stages, the first redraw is 500, the second is 750, the third is 1000, and so on. Stages that cost more to play also have correspondingly higher redraw fees. With that in mind, use the extra cards function judiciously as it’s surprisingly easy to run out of coins by adding cards.

While you might think this penalizes your score, it doesn’t. Thus, both speed and quick streak calculations are very important for achieving the coveted 3 star score in a stage.

Wild Cards

If you’re stuck with a bad hand or worse, a string of bad luck, you can play a wild card to reverse your fortune.

solitaire tripeaks wild card
Wild cards are limited, so use them judiciously.

A wild card allows you to play any card after it. This has many applications, like starting a streak of your own to get the streak star, or just to rack up bonus points. Alternately, you can use it to clear the last few cards on the board if you’re running out of cards to draw.

Budget your wild cards very carefully – these are paid items and opportunities to get more of them just by playing the game are few and far between.

Trapped Cards

To spice things up, Solitaire TriPeaks features special cards to serve as obstacles in your board-clearing adventure.

Sometimes I wish I had a good pair of scissors.

Some cards are trapped, meaning they’re caught in a net and cannot be accessed at all. To free them is a simple matter – just use a card that’s one higher or one lower. However, there’s a slight complication –  you lose the card you used, and you don’t gain the card you free, instead just breaking the trap. Careful play is required to maintain your streak when facing trapped cards.

However, losing your top card isn’t all bad. If, for example, you used a wild card, then removed a card from the board, then used that card to remove a trap, you’ll get to reuse your wild card!

If you use the very first card you draw to eliminate a trap, you’ll get a random card as your new top card.

Shark Cards

Another obstacle you’ll encounter relatively early in the game is the shark card.

Om nom nom.

Shark cards cannot be removed by any other card, but will automatically remove themselves from the board if you free a green fish card. If you find one of these fish cards, both the shark card and the fish card will be removed from the board. It’s important to note that shark cards effectively look you out of a portion of the board, giving you a hint as to where to find the fish card.

Trap cards and shark cards aren’t the only obstacles you’ll face, but you’ll need to discover them on your own – what fun would it be if I told you about all of them now?

Undos and Misplays

solitaire tripeaks six
I had to undo a lot of moves because I didn’t realize these were sixes, not nines.

Since you’re racing against the clock, it can be quite easy to miss plays that you could have made. Luckily, there’s a feature to help you avoid, or rather, correct those mistakes. Whenever you draw a new card while there were cards on the board that you could have removed, those cards will wobble and a sound effect will play.

If you’ve missed your chance to remove cards, you can undo an action by tapping the undo button at the lower right of the board, beside your current card. While this will turn back time and let you fix your mistakes, it doesn’t refund you the time you lost, so you still need to act quickly.

Finding Coins

solitaire tripeaks coins
No coins?

Almost every single action you take in Solitaire TriPeaks requires coins. Playing a stage? Coins. Buying bonuses? Coins. Undoing an action? You guessed it, coins. And with so many things to spend coins on, you are going to run out of coins very, very quickly. Luckily, there’s also a lot of ways to get coins that don’t involve playing the game (and potentially losing more coins than you earn).

Daily Stuff

solitaire tripeaks login bonus
Par for the course.

Like most other mobile games, Solitaire TriPeaks has a daily login bonus. Coins are the lowest possible prize you can get for logging in, but considering how many coins you need to play the game, they’re always a welcome sight. Login bonuses run on a streak system, so try not to miss a day.

solitaire tripeaks daily rewards
Nope, no more coins here.

You also get a few thousand coins just for logging in, which you can collect in your inbox menu. You can also opt to watch an ad for an extra 3000 coins, which you’ll definitely want to do.

Daily Quests

solitaire tripeaks daily quest
While you’re at it…

Daily quests become available at around stage 14. These quests provide minor tasks for you to complete – which will award you with a small amount of resources, most often coins. You won’t get treasure troves of coins from completing these quests, but they’re better than nothing.

Events

Events are unlocked alongside daily quests. Solitaire TriPeaks runs a variety of events, each of which give not only coins, but other resources like wild cards. Make sure to check the events tab to see what you need to do to participate in whatever event is currently running!

The Free Coins Tab

solitaire tripeaks free coins
The exclamation mark is especially hard to ignore.

The free coins button on the lower part of the screen isn’t entirely honest – there’s still a small price to be paid for coins, mostly in time.

A chest of 1000 coins fills up here every 20 minutes, at which point you’ll need to pick up your money before the box refills itself. Try to have an alarm on hand for this, as these coins are absolutely free but require your attention.

You can also access the treasure shrine via this menu, which I’ll discuss further below.

Feeling lucky?

Finally, you can watch ads to gain a random amount of coins per play and one wild card per day. Since wild cards are so valuable, I definitely recommend that the first thing you should do when booting up the game is to watch these ads.

Once you finish the ad, you’ll be made to pick one of three cards as a prize. Within these 3 cards are 3 sums of coins – one small, one average, and one large. It’s all a matter of luck which one you get, so trust your gut feel and pick whichever card calls out to you the most.

You may have noticed that I said “a random amount of coins per play”. I haven’t found a limit as to how many times you can watch an ad for coins, but I did notice that the more ads I watched, the lower the coin amounts on the cards became.

The Treasure Shrine

The treasure shrine allows you to test your timing skills and luck (mostly luck, really) in an arcade game. All you need to do is press the drop button to drop the ball, and pray to whatever deities you worship that it both falls through the middle hole and into the jackpot cup.

solitaire tripeaks treasure shrine
How bad could it be?

Just like modern casinos, the chance of actually winning this is very low. However, you still do get items – coins mostly, but you can also get wild cards – but you’ll be winning coins most of the time. While coins are the lowest prize from the treasure shrine, you will need a lot of them.

To play the treasure shrine, you’ll need medallions. You can get these from time to time, and you can also watch an ad once per day to get one medallion. Alternately, you can pay 2500 coins for a medallion, but that defeats the purpose of the shrine if you’re using it for coins.

COME ON COME ON COME ON

The game doesn’t shy away from dangling the tantalizing jackpot of a million coins just in front of your eyes, and it will display the name of the latest winner on the left side. More importantly, you can congratulate them by tapping the thumbs up button. This will fill up a 5-part gauge that nets you one medallion when it fills up after you’ve congratulated 5 winners.

Poi’s Bonus Round

On the world map, you’ll notice Poi the dog running ahead of you before finally settling down to rest in one stage. Once that stage is cleared, you’ll be able to play a bonus round.

Call it.

During the bonus round, you’ll be presented with a bunch of face down cards. Some of these cards contain coins, which you’ll be able to collect at the end of the bonus round, but two of them will contain skulls, which will instantly end the bonus round. Don’t worry though – if you hit a skull, you’ll still get to keep every treasure card you found until that point.

Join A Club

Clubs are groups of players that can work together towards a common goal – and everyone gets prizes for doing so, so you definitely don’t want to miss out on this feature.

Club Perks

Club perks are passive bonuses that affect every member of the club. These perks usually offer simple, but potent bonuses, such as extra free coin collection, a number of free plays per day, or even free bonuses.

What he said.

To activate a club perk, members must offer enough Tributes to activate that perk. Getting Tributes is easy – some stages will have a wooden idol beside their number, which symbolizes how many Tributes you can find by playing in that stage. As you clear the board on those stage, you’ll unearth the wooden idols, which are automatically added to the perk level you’ve selected on the perk menu.

Once enough Tributes have been offered by the club’s members, the perk becomes unlocked and everyone in the club receives its benefits.

The Club Shop

The club shop is a place to buy goodies for you and your clubmates.

Is for me?

Apart from paid packages, the club shop also offers a free package that’s unlocked when enough club members tap its unlock button. All it takes is a little time, so be sure to do your part in nabbing free goodies for you and your club.

Club Tournaments

I wanna be/the very best/like no one ever was…

Being in a club also makes you eligible for club tournaments. These are ranked events where every player’s games add a small amount of points towards the club total. Clubs then compete using their total points for a spot on the charts, and at the conclusion of the tournament, clubs that were able to place on the leaderboards will earn rewards.

Being in a tournament’s top 5 positions not only awards Gems, but also places a club in the next tier of tournaments, where better prizes await – but so do tougher enemies!

Club Chat

Finally, each club has its own private chat room where club members can interact with one another. This is a great way to learn some tricks from veterans of the game, so don’t be afraid to speak up!

Play at Your Own Pace

Solitaire TriPeaks is a very relaxing game where you don’t really have to push yourself to be the top 1 player in your club or just because you want to. Ultimately, while this game does give you incentives to do your best, just play at your own pace and enjoy the game!

I love this game. But please lower the pay for cards. 6000 is a lot and if you don't get it you pay even more. I lose all my coins quickly. Especially as I play for free and it would be nice to get more free volcanos and free cards. Thanks. Just would make it better for us oldies. Lol. Like a discount. Well maybe. But its so fun to play. trap cards and blowing up cards and all those I only get a few each game. They go quick. Enjoy your day you all. Thanks for the game. 😊❤
