Cat Game – The Cats Collector Beginner’s Guide: Tips, Tricks & Strategies to Keep Your Feline Friends Happy

Cats, cats, cats! You can’t have too many of them. After all, they’re cute, fuzzy, independent, and quite simple to satisfy. Give them the food they want, the toys they love, and the space to roam and play, and you’ll be rewarded with maybe some affection and semi-intact furniture. Treat them like royalty and they’ll jump up on your lap and allow you to pet them. Sounds like a pretty good deal, if you ask us. Just don’t force these ferocious felines to take a bath if you value your life! Remember, you’ve got one and they’ve got nine.

Kidding aside, cats remain an interesting species as even the most domesticated ones seem to have retained their wild, free spirit. There’s a grain of truth to the saying that you don’t really own a cat—it’s the cat that owns you.

Of course, for those who are enamored with these fascinating furballs, it would be a nice thing indeed to have as many cat companions as possible. But, alas, you can only have so many cats in one space before you start running out—or get driven out!

Luckily for cat enthusiasts, Cat Game – The Cats Collector lets you, well, collect as many cats as you can!

cat game the cats collector cover

Created by Mino Games, Cat Game – The Cats Collector is a cute and colorful cat collector that combines the elements of gacha, crafting, and home design, among others.

In Cat Game – The Cats Collector, you start by selecting 1 of the 3 starter cats, kind of in the same way you choose your starter Pokémon. However, your choice will not affect your gameplay or progression. The choices for your 3 starter cats include Smudge, a perpetually sleepy and hungry cat; Molly, an elegant and graceful princess cat with a shining tiara; and Boots, a mischievous marmalade rascal.

After picking your starter cat, you get to name them, adopt them, and place them in the first room of your home. In the beginning, your home starts out empty, which you can furnish along the way.

Regardless of the starter cat you pick, they’re going to want food. Specifically, your starter cat will request for Wet Cat Food, which the game grants you a limited supply of for free. To feed your cat, all you need to do is click on them.

Feeding a cat will let you fill their heart meter. If you give your cat the specific kind of food they’re craving for, you’ll get bonus hearts, the amount of which vary between cats and their particular cravings.

Upon filling up the heart meter, you can click on the “Ready to Deliver” button below them.

cat game the cats collector ready to deliver

What’s going to be delivered, you might ask? Why, another cat, of course!

Basically, by feeding hungry cats until they’re full, you get the chance to adopt another cat. We say chance because this is where the gacha mechanic of the game comes into play: whenever you attempt to adopt another cat, you have to click “Spin” and see whether the ticker lands on a cat or a supply item.

cat game the cats collector rewards

If it lands on a card with a cat that has a question mark symbol, you instantly get a new cat. Cats you gain can belong to any of the 5 different rarity tiers, namely:

  • Common
  • Rare
  • Epic
  • Legendary
  • Secret

Believe it or not, your starter cat actually belongs to the Secret tier!

In any case, the rarity of the cat you gain through Spins will depend on which room of your home you’re having them delivered to. Yes, your home is actually a tower that has a total of 76 unlockable floors or rooms, each of which have 14 total slots divided equally between 7 cats and 7 types of decorations (the 15th slot is for rolling for supplies).

Every room has its own unique theme and the rarity of cats will vary. For instance, if you feed cats from the first floor (also known as the Basic Room) and Spin, you’ll eventually get to adopt 4 Common cats and 1 Rare cat alongside your starter cat.

On the other hand, if you attempt to deliver cats to the second floor (also known as the Fancy Room), you can eventually get 4 Common cats, 1 Rare cat, 1 Epic cat, and 1 Legendary cat—and so on.

cat game the cats collector fancy room

Otherwise, you might get supplies instead of a cat when you Spin. Supplies like logs, cotton, rocks, and quartz are necessary for crafting items that you can use to build decorations. Since each room has its own theme, each decor item will be unique to that room, which will, of course, require different materials. Each room will also yield a different type of supply material as an alternative to adopting a cat. For instance, the first and fourth rooms will give you logs, while the second and third rooms will give you cotton, and so on.

cat game the cats collector log

Supplies can then be crafted into different items, which are used to create a variety of decorations. Some decor items may require only basic supplies while other decor pieces of higher rarity tiers will require crafted items made from basic supplies. For each room, you will get 2 decor items each for Common, Rare, and Epic rarities, and 1 decor item of Legendary tier. Secret-tier decor items (as well as other Secret-tier cats) can only be obtained for Premium rooms. You will need Keys to acquire them.

cat game the cats collector materials needed

You can view all cats and decorations in the Cat-alog and Premium Cat-alog.

cat game the cats collector cat-alog and premium cat-alog

Aside from materials, you also need coins to make decor. Coins are the most basic currency in the game and can also be used to buy cat food.

You don’t necessarily have to unlock all the cats and items in one room to gain access to another. What you do need are Stars, which will fill your level meter. Every time you fill the level meter with Stars and level up, you gain access to the next room. You can get Stars simply by adopting more cats and crafting more decorations. The higher your level, the more Stars you need to fill the meter.

leveling up in cat game the cats collector

As you can see, keeping a multitude of cats can be quite challenging. It takes a lot of hard work and effort to keep all your feline friends happy and not hungry. What we’ve covered so far are just the basics of the game and there’s a little more to it than just adopting and feeding cats or crafting decorations.

For those who are just starting out, allow us to lend a helping hand with our beginner’s guide for Cat Game – The Cats Collector! In this guide, we’ll offer a handful of tips and tricks that can help you complete rooms, stuff your treasure chest with coins, make decorations faster, and get a few bonuses on the side!

Furniture for the Win

Decor items aren’t merely for aesthetics. Though they make your rooms look cool and cozy, decor items can also increase the number of Stars you gain to level up, as well as the likelihood of obtaining a cat from Spins as opposed to getting supplies. Making room decor also adds coins to those you will be receiving from gift boxes.

cat game the cats collector chance of cat

However, one of the most important functions of crafting decorations is that Spinning for certain cats will remain locked unless you fulfill decor requirements. Simply put, if you don’t have a specific piece of decor, you can’t Spin for a particular cat until you have it. In the picture below, we can’t unlock the Japanese Bob unless we craft a window.

cat game the cats collector japanese bob

Keep in mind that some cats might require more than one decor piece so you can Spin for them. Although, getting a specific decor piece won’t guarantee that you will obtain a cat in your next Spin—it only means you’ll be eligible to Spin for a cat but you might still get  a supply material instead depending on your luck.

That said, check which decor items are available in the room and make them in advance. Every decor item can be viewed in the Cat-alog, including the materials needed to make them. You can see the Cat-alog by clicking the Deliver icon.

If a type of furniture requires more than basic supplies, you can click the Craft button to craft whatever is needed to complete certain decor items. You may also pin decor items you intend to craft so you can quickly check which materials you need to stock up on.

cat game the cats collector crafting

As an aside, the decor items you make can be used not only to furnish rooms but also to enter contests, which we’ll discuss in more detail later.

Crafting for decor materials takes time and waiting times for each material vary depending on the complexity of their requirements, which brings us to our next point.

Craft Like Crazy

cat game the cats collector basic crafting

Because crafting materials can take a while, it’s better to make decor items in advance when you eventually get access to crafting. We recommend crafting materials for multiple decor items either from one room or several rooms.

However, keep in mind that crafting multiple materials of the same type increases in cost the more you craft. For instance, crafting a piece of wood will cost a minimum of 50 coins. If you want to craft more, you have to pay 75 coins for the second piece of wood, 100 coins for the third piece of wood, and so on.

cat game the cats collector craft wood

The only way you can skirt the crafting “tax” is when you craft materials only one at a time. But while this will help you spend less in coins, you will end up spending more time waiting and waiting for each individual order to be completed. This can be especially tedious for materials that take an hour or more of crafting time, and some materials can take as long as 72 hours to craft.

What we recommend instead is to craft in bulk. If you have enough coins and supplies, you can choose to craft in increments of 10 or 50. No matter how many items you craft, the waiting time will remain the same. Simply put, if you craft a single piece or 10 pieces or 50 pieces of wood, you’ll have all your orders completed in 5 minutes.

cat game the cats collector craft wood 2

Sure, you’ll pay a lot more for bulk crafting but you can always earn coins back by completing tasks in the Bank, playing mini games, earning event points, joining a club, and watching ads (more on these later). It’s basically a question of whether you want to spend time or money on crafting, and between these two, coins are much easier to earn back.

You can try to minimize coin expenditure by instantly completing individually crafted items when you spend gems to hurry up the process.

speeding things up in cat game the cats collector

However, gems are harder to earn than coins and can be considered premium currency in the game. Again, we recommend bulk crafting instead, and if materials have a lengthy waiting time, that’s when you can consider spending gems for their instant completion. Otherwise, it’s always better to wait it out and avoid spending more than necessary.

Stock Up on Cat Food

cat game the cats collector cat food

Just like cats, you just can’t have enough cat food! Since delivering cats and supplies will require cat food, you’re going to have to stock up on these. However, like crafting, buying cat food increases in cost the more you buy.

For instance, if you buy a single piece of Sashimi, you have to spend 20 coins. If you buy a second piece, this will cost 22 coins, and the third piece will cost 24 coins, and so on. The same rule applies when you buy in bulk, which is limited to 10 pieces of the same food item. Again, for Sashimi as the example, if you buy 10 of these, it will cost a minimum of 200 coins. If you buy another 10, this will now cost 400 coins.

cat game the cats collector sashimi

Aside from the compounding cost, another challenge when stocking up on cat food is that you only get to buy 3 types of cat food at a time until this limited selection refreshes after a waiting period. More types of cat food will be included in the selection the more you rise in level.

For instance, your selection starts with Wet Cat Food, Caviar, and Sashimi. If you level up, you’ll get a chance to buy Gold Caviar, Cheese, a Golden Apple, and a sundry of other food types. But every time you want to buy food, you’ll only get to choose from 3 types, then wait until the selection displays another 3 new food items.

buying food in cat game the cats collector

If you really think about it, stocking up on cat food might just quickly siphon your coins if you’re not careful—but the good news is, there’s a bit of a workaround for these conditions. To avoid spending too much on cat food but still have enough on stock, what you can do is buy 10 of each of the cat food in the current selection then wait for the available items to refresh, then buy 10 each from the new selection.

This is because whenever the timer refreshes and a new selection of food becomes available, their cost returns to being their base cost. If one of the same food items pops up in the new selection, you can basically buy 10 more of it without spending double.

This way, you avoid the compounding cost of food, though what is included in the new selection will be entirely up to chance. In any case, what we recommend is buying 10 of each food item, waiting for the selection to refresh, then buying 10 of each food item from the new selection.

Lather, rinse, repeat. If you have enough coins, do this every time the selection refreshes as you never know how much of a particular food item you’ll need. If you’re being more frugal, you can stock up on at least 20 or 30 pieces of the same food item then skip buying them until you’re down to about 5 or 10 pieces.

Keep in mind that food isn’t counted in your inventory so you can stock up on as much food as you want.

Smart Feeding

feeding cats in cat game the cats collector

Further to cat food, there’s also a bit of a simple trick when feeding cats themselves. Previously, we mentioned that giving cats the specific type of food they’re craving for will help fill their heart meters faster since craved food will grant more hearts. Now, the thing is, you don’t always have to feed cats the specific food they’re asking for, though this is naturally preferred since you’ll consume less food but get more hearts.

That being said, though, the amount of bonus hearts craved food will give varies between the cat you’re feeding and the particular type of food they want at the moment. For instance, some types of craved food give only 2 bonus hearts while others will instantly fill up a cat’s heart meter.

Other times, consuming a single type of food will fill, say, 4 out of 5 hearts in a meter. From this example, you can deduce that feeding your cat the same food item again will fill another 4 hearts when you only need to fill 1 more.

cat game the cats collector sweater

If this particular food item happens to be expensive or you don’t catch it too often at the food selection, you might think twice about using the same food item to fill the remaining 1 heart because you’ll be in excess of 3 hearts. These 3 hearts won’t be carried over to the heart meter the next time you feed the same cat craving for the same kind of food. When this happens, you can feed your cat another type of less expensive food or food you have a large surplus of to fill the remaining 1 heart.

By doing this, you don’t waste the heart bonuses from an expensive food item. Though feeding your cat a type of food other than what they crave won’t give bonuses, they’ll still fill up the heart meter by at least 1 heart. The least expensive food is Wet Cat Food so try to get as many of these not only for cats who constantly crave them, but also for instances when you need to fill just 1 or 2 more hearts in a meter without consuming costlier cat food.

Complete Tasks in the Bank

cat game the cats collector bank

Similar to most mobile games, Cat Game – The Cats Collector also has daily tasks you can fulfill to get some bonus coins on the side. You can view which tasks are up for completion when you check the Bank tab. Usually, these are the tasks you’ll be asked to complete and you’ll get 500 coins for doing so:

  • Random activity tasks: This can be accomplished generally by playing the game. Collecting items, materials, food, delivering cats and supplies, or any other activity you do in the game may be included as part of your Bank tasks. However, these are often at random and will vary from day to day.
  • Earn mini game coins: Playing mini games (more on these later) will earn you coins, which are also part of your Bank tasks. Earn enough of the coins from mini games and you’ll get coins as a reward. It’s a win-win!
  • Spend coins: You know what they say—you gotta spend money to make money. If you spend the amount of coins indicated in your Bank task, you earn a bit of a cashback by completing this goal.
  • Material sale: Buying materials from the Bank at a discounted price will also earn you coins. The good news is that you only need to spend coins as well to buy materials on sale. By completing this task, you also earn some form of cashback.
  • Watch a video: Watching one ad will complete this task and let you earn coins in an easy way.
  • Enter a contest: This particular Bank task has 3 different slots that can be unlocked upon reaching Level 7, Level 10, and Level 15 respectively for each slot. Joining a contest is simple enough: you’ll be provided a theme for decorating a contest room. The contest room will include a 1 cat and 1 decor item preset for the theme.

Your objective is to decorate the contest room in accordance with the theme using the cats and decor you’ve unlocked in both the Cat-alog and Premium Cat-alog. You can only choose 1 cat from your unlocked cats and 1 decor for each type that can be placed in the contest room. Once you’re done decorating, you’ll submit your contest entry and earn coins.

Each task in the Bank refreshes daily so you only need to complete these tasks once until you get your chance again the next day. Upon finishing all the Bank tasks, you’ll be eligible for the Bank Spin, where you have a chance to earn more rewards. It goes without saying that accomplishing all your Bank tasks on time is well worth the effort given that you’ll always gain coins whenever you hit a goal!

Play the Mini Games

cat game the cats collector mini games

Given that crafting materials and delivering baskets all have waiting times, playing the mini games is a great way to pass time productively. Aside from being part of your Bank tasks, playing mini games will earn you coins fast in a fun way!

There are 4 mini games included in Cat Game – The Cats Collector, all of which you can find at the bottom of the Bank tab. They’re easy enough in principle but don’t be fooled by their cute designs! Each one can be quite challenging so aside from discussing the basics of how they work, we’ve also included some tips that can earn you as many points—and coins!—when playing each mini game.

Matchy Cats

cat game the cats collector matchy cats

How it works:

Matchy Cats plays like a typical match-3 game where you need to match a minimum of 3 blocks of the same color to eliminate those blocks and earn points. The more blocks you match, the bigger the points you get. In Matchy Cats, you have a gauge at the bottom that will decrease each time you make a move. All in all, you get about 20 moves until the game is over.

Apart from the limited number of moves you can make, there are no special items or boosters that will emerge when you match more than 3 blocks.

Tips to win:

  • Since you won’t get any special items or boosters, make each move count by matching more than 3 blocks at a time. The maximum number of blocks you can match in a single move is 5 blocks. This can be done in a straight horizontal or vertical line, or in a variation of the L-shape.
  • When matching, make sure your move triggers succeeding matches aside from the one you’ve made. Try to calculate the best way in which your single match will trigger the other blocks to move so they can make multiple matches.
  • Observe which block color composes the majority of the board. Try to make matches that will gather them in one place so they can align by themselves and automatically match in succeeding moves.

Poppy Cats

cat game the cats collector poppy cats

How it works:

In Poppy Cats, the play area will be filled by a variety of cat heads pouring down from the top of the screen. You need to connect a minimum of 3 cat heads of the same type to make a match and earn points. The more cat heads you connect, the bigger that specific cat head will be. Connecting and popping large cat heads will gain you points and time bonuses. Here’s how the scoring works:

  • Connecting 3 cat heads = 1 point
  • Connecting 5+ cat heads = 2 points and 0.25 seconds in time bonus
  • Connecting 10+ cat heads = 3 points and 0.50 seconds in time bonus
  • Connecting 20+ cat heads = 5 points and 1 second in time bonus

Once the timer runs out, which is indicated by a gauge at the bottom, all the cat heads will pop and will be tallied in your final score.

Tips to win:

  • Begin connecting cat heads from the bottom of the play area so the smaller cat heads from the top of the pile have a bigger chance of moving downward or being repositioned into a more advantageous location.
  • As much as possible, aim for the biggest cat head you can connect. You can connect 2 or more big cat heads provided they’re close enough to each other and are not blocked by other cat heads.
  • Further to blocking, try to connect cat heads in a way that won’t block others from being connected to their respective colors.
  • When the play area’s getting cramped, pop large cat heads immediately so smaller cat heads can pour in and give you another batch to connect.
  • Because this is a time-limited mini game, think fast but don’t panic!

Blocky Cats

cat game the cats collector blocky cats

How it works:

Blocky Cats works somewhat like Tetris but with a twist. Instead of having blocks fall from the top of the screen, you get 3 random blocks at the bottom of the board, which you can place anywhere, provided there’s enough space to accommodate their shape and orientation. Your goal is to create lines of 10 to earn points. Upon creating a line of 10, the blocks in that row or column will disappear, giving you room to place succeeding blocks in the empty spaces.

The most challenging thing about Blocky Cats is that aside from not knowing which blocks you’ll get, you have to use all the 3 random blocks provided before your selection can be refreshed. The game is considered over if you run out of space to use at least 1 block from your selection.

Tips to win:

  • While it’s ideal to create multiple lines of 10 all at once, try not to cramp your play board. Keep in mind that points are earned when lines of 10 are eliminated. It may be more to your advantage to gradually create lines of 10 and eliminate them one at a time instead of trying to fill up the board in the hopes that a specific block type will come up and eliminate multiple lines of 10 simultaneously.
  • Perhaps the hardest blocks to find space for are the 9-block square and the 5-block vertical or horizontal line because they tend to take up the most space. Always make room for these blocks just so their sudden appearance won’t catch you off-guard and render the game over.
  • L-shaped blocks are the second most challenging blocks to fit on the play board. Their most ideal places are at the corners, especially if you get the big L-shaped blocks. Smaller L-shaped blocks may fill in a few gaps, but always be mindful of where you place them just so they don’t cause awkward protrusions.
  • From time to time, a 1×1 block will appear but try to avoid placing blocks in a way that will need a 1×1 block to complete that particular line of 10. Consider 1×1 blocks as more of a bonus block than something that appears on the regular.
  • Take your time and strategize the best placement. Unlike Poppy Cats, Blocky Cats has no time limit so really think about the best locations for block placement while also anticipating the appearance of some of the challenging blocks we’ve mentioned previously.

Contest Vote

cat game the cats collector contest vote

How it works:

Remember how one of your Bank tasks includes joining a room decoration contest? In the Contest Vote mini game, you get to see the contest entries of other players. Your objective in this mini game, though, is to guess which of the rooms are voted as the community’s favorite. Every time you guess it right, you earn points. If you pick the correct rooms 5 times in a row, you get extra coins.

In every round, you get to see 2 contest entries and pick which one you think has received the most votes from the community. This mini game doesn’t really have a condition for losing so you can keep playing for as long as you like.

Tips to win:

  • Contest entries follow a theme but some entries that have garnered the most votes may deviate from the general theme provided. Sometimes, quirky entries can surprisingly get the most votes so don’t just rely solely on the theme as your basis for the possible winner.
  • Entries that have rare cats with cute animations can be a big hook, allowing the entry to garner many votes. Before making a guess, wait for a few seconds and see which entry has a cat that shows adorable animations.
  • Follow your instinct and enjoy the mini game! Don’t take it too seriously since there’s really nothing to lose when you fail to guess correctly. You can always regain your 5-streak of correct answers as there are many wonderful contest entries out there!

Earn Event Points

cat game the cats collector stargazing event

As with many mobile games, you also get to enjoy limited-time events in Cat Game – The Cats Collector. By simply playing the game, you automatically participate in the event and can earn points by accomplishing a myriad of activities.

In our playthrough, we caught the Stargazing Event, wherein you can collect cats and decor belonging to the Stargazing Set. These can be viewed in the Event Cat-alog while the event is ongoing, and in the Premium Cat-alog once the event ends.

During the event, you get to earn points by accomplishing activities that each have point equivalents. For example, simply playing the game will earn you 100 points for each hour you play. You can also earn 1 point for every 10 coins you spend. Collecting crafts, decor, cats, playing the mini games, and many more all have point equivalents.

earning points in the stargazing event in cat game the cats collector

During this event, you also get to enjoy an active bonus where crafting time for all materials is dramatically decreased no matter what item you craft. However, active bonuses will only last for 30 minutes and are activated every 6 hours. Don’t worry about missing the active bonus, though, as you’ll see the countdown in the Event tab.

When you manage to accumulate a certain number of points, you get to win prizes both as an individual player and as a member of a club (more on clubs in the next section).

cat game the cats collector prizes

Event points are cumulative so the more points you earn, the bigger your prize. A significant prize you can earn as a beginner when acquiring event points are Keys, which you can use to roll for Premium cats and decor. Keep playing and finishing tasks to earn event points and you might just get something really good!

Join a Club

joining a club in cat game the cats collector

Clubs are small groups of other players that you can join for some extra benefits. You can join a club upon reaching Level 5 and may access your club by clicking on the chat bar at the very bottom of the screen. You may also create a club of your own but, as a beginner, we recommend joining a club first to familiarize yourself with how it works. You need to reach Level 10 in order to create your own club. Each club has a maximum of 30 members.

What can you gain by joining clubs? Here are some benefits of becoming a club member:

  • Participate in club events: As mentioned earlier, you can gain points in active events both as an individual player and a club member. By participating in club events, you also accumulate points for limited-time events and earn extra rewards apart from those you gain as a solo player. If you reach Level 10, you will gain access to the Club Tower where you can see which club events you can accomplish.
  • Request for materials: If you’re fresh out of supplies or materials, you can request your fellow club members to give you some. It’s important to join a club with active members so your request isn’t left unattended. Conversely, you can return the favor by giving fellow club members the materials they’re requested for if you have a surplus of these.
  • Chat with other club members: Here, you can ask fellow club members for advice or just say hi! By chatting with other members, you can gain more insight or guidance about how to play the game, which can be really helpful for beginners.
  • Get 50 gems: Upon joining a club for the first time, you automatically gain 50 gems. Easy peasy!
  • Get Purple Hearts: Whenever a fellow club member has an achievement, such as obtaining a cat or a decoration, you can “love” these achievements and you’ll gain Purple Hearts as a reward. Purple Hearts can also be earned whenever you fulfill members’ request for materials. Every 100 materials you send will gain you 1 Purple Heart. You can get a maximum of 10 Purple Hearts when fulfilling material requests. If you manage to collect 200 Purple Hearts, you’ll be able to spin the Club Basket.
  • Collect cats and decor exclusive to clubs: Whenever you spin Club Baskets, you get a chance to obtain cats and decor from the Club Kitties set, which can only be gained by players belonging to a club.

Again, it’s better to join clubs with active members so try to find one that has a decent amount of members and are ideally in the same timezone as you are. Become an active member yourself and help others out as doing so will be rewarding for all!

Save Your Gems

cat game the cats collector gems

We’ve mentioned coins a few times and how vital they can be as rewards and as a means to complete basic transactions. But what about gems?

Gems are also spent for a variety of stuff, but they’re a little harder to earn compared to coins. You can obtain gems by leveling up, from Event Baskets, Club Events, subscribing to VIP membership, and by buying them from the Bank using real money. Thus, this type of currency is a little more precious than coins, so it’s best to spend them wisely.

But what do you need gems for? Here are some things you can get by spending gems:

cat game the cats collector keys and key shards
  • Keys and Key Shards: Key Shards are used to craft Premium Keys, which can be used to get Premium items. Costs for these are reset every 24 hours in the Shop.

  • More coins: At the Shop, you can get more coins in exchange for gems.

  • Premium rooms: Gems can also pay for Premium rooms offered in the Shop.

  • Refresh food and supply crates: The current selection for food and supply crates can be instantly refreshed using gems, skipping the waiting time for these items to display new selections.
cat game the cats collector material crafting
  • Instantly complete material crafting: If you want to instantly get the materials you’re crafting, you can spend gems to obtain them immediately instead of waiting for the process to finish.

Now, you might be wondering, which of these options are worth spending gems for? Our recommendation is to gather enough gems for Premium Keys, Shards, or Premium rooms. Everything else can be obtained by other means or aren’t really worth spending gems for.

The only alternative to spending gems when obtaining Premium items is usually spending real-world money, which isn’t really an option for everyone. That said, saving up your gems for Premium items might take some time, but you’ll be maximizing their value compared to when you spend them for temporary boosts.

Set Some Time for Ads

We’ve mentioned previously that watching an ad every day in the Bank will get you an instant 500 coins. But that isn’t the only way to get bonuses from watching ads! Here are 2 more ways that ads can, well, add to your rewards:

Extra Spins

cat game the cats collector cotton

When you Spin for cats or supplies, you have a chance to use an Extra Spin, which will allow you to Spin for a second time. To use the Extra Spin, you need to watch an ad first. Only after watching the ad will you be able to click the Extra Spin button.

Although Extra Spins are a good way to earn extra rewards, the number of Extra Spins you can do are only 3 at a time. Once you’ve used all 3 Extra Spins, you will have to wait for 3 hours for 1 Extra Spin to recharge. Basically, at the end of 9 hours, you would have recharged all 3 of your Extra Spins. However, the cooldown timer to begin recharging your Extra Spins doesn’t start until you’ve used all 3 of them.

It can be tempting to use Extra Spins whenever they’re available but because of the lengthy recharge periods, it’s best to consume them for situations that will maximize your chances of getting something well worth the cooldown period. One instance you should consider using an Extra Spin is when you’re Spinning from a floor you’ve already completed. Completed floors will give 2x the supply whenever you Spin. It’s a good idea to use an Extra Spin for these floors because you’re guaranteed to get 2x the supply item each time you Spin.

On the other hand, if you’re Spinning for a specific type of supply item, you can save up your Extra Spins for floors that specifically reward you with this particular material. You may also focus your Extra Spins on floors that reward you with a supply item you often find yourself lacking.

Double Your Coins

cat game the cats collector double coins

Another way ads can give you a bonus is when you’re collecting gift boxes. From time to time, the game will tell you that your cats have found coins inside gift boxes, then offer you the chance to watch an ad so you can double your earnings. We recommend watching ads whenever the opportunity arises so you can get twice as many gift box coins.
