BitLife Haus of Whacks Challenge Guide: How to Complete the Haus of Whacks Challenge

It doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing another major BitLife update anytime soon, but that’s okay. Regardless whether you’re playing the iOS or Android version, this life simulator game is still considerably bigger and better than it was when it debuted a good five years ago.

And it’s still keeping players coming back for more thanks to the weekly challenges, which, for those who are new to the BitLife universe, require you to complete a series of tasks based on the theme of the week. And since we’re now in the month of October, expect many of these challenges to have some creepy-crawly undertones.

This week’s BitLife challenge appears to be partly based on the 2005 horror movie House of Wax, but not really that much. For one, you’re working alone here without the help of a twin brother, and you also don’t have to deal with (overaged) high school kids trying to foil your plans. But the challenge is very much in the spirit of the spooky month, and it isn’t that difficult to complete, if a bit more time consuming than the average BitLife challenge.

So if you’re trying to finish the Haus of Whacks Challenge (note the clever change in spelling) while wasting as little time as possible, let this BitLife mini-strategy guide show you what to do and how to complete each of the challenge’s requirements.

Create a Character with Crime as Special Skill

First of all, when creating a character for the Haus of Whacks Challenge, you don’t really need to pay attention to any one statistic, just as long as you’re creating a male character born in New York. That means choosing Buffalo, Brooklyn, or New York City as your birthplace — nothing much to that part of the challenge.

However, it would definitely be a good idea, though not absolutely required, to choose Crime as your character’s Special Talent. This, as you may have noticed in many a challenge involving illegal activities, makes it easier for Bitizens to kill other Bitizens (or commit any other crimes) without getting caught or without facing retaliation from the intended victim.

Enroll in a Creative Course and Join a Frat

Once you’ve created your character, the next requirement would be to become a Fashion Designer. You’ll need a college degree for that job, so make sure you’re attending University and preferably choosing a creative course — Graphic Design seems a bit far removed from the world of fashion, but it worked for us when the time came for job application!

It is also highly recommended that you join a fraternity so that you can bypass the interview stage (and all its randomness) in most, but not all cases. Different college frats have different Popularity requirements, but in each case, your initiation will consist of a question about Greek mythology. Most of these questions are easy, but in the event you get stuck on one of them, you can always Google the correct answer — there’s no time limit for answering the questions anyway!

Museums Don’t Come Cheap!

In order to live up to the Haus of Whacks challenge name, you’re going to need a “house” to keep the bodies you’ve “whacked,” and that, of course, would be a museum. This feature is among the newer ones available in BitLife, and it allows you to display your prized belongings and entertain visitors, thus giving you a nice way to earn at least a million dollars per year (in most cases) through ticket sales.

You can store just about every type of item you own, from rare antiques, weapons, and jewelry you won at an auction or purchased via the Black Market, to even your own vehicles. Taxidermied bodies are also among the items you can store in your Museum, though like any other item, they’ll have to undergo appraisal for $100 per item — the richer the person at the time of their death, the more valuable their taxidermied corpse will be.

Of course, before you do all this, you will need to purchase a museum, either via mortgage or outright via cash payment. The advisable grinding process in order to earn $5 million shall be explained below, though it is also possible to luck out through inheritances from your parents, lottery winnings, or gambling, among other methods.

Although it is possible to earn big money as a Fashion Designer, chances are you might not be approved for a mortgage, but if you do reach Sr. Fashion Designer status, there is a substantially better chance of getting approved for that loan.

You Will Have to Be a Black Widower of Sorts to Complete Some Requirements

In order to fill out one museum wing with taxidermied bodies, you’re going to have to kill six people and take their bodies to a taxidermist. But the only way you can do the latter is to choose Taxidermy as the option for your loved one’s remains, and that would mean you have to be in charge of the funeral.

As it seems, the only way you can preside over a funeral is if the dead relative or loved one is one of your parents or your spouse — siblings don’t seem to count, at least as far as we observed while trying to complete the Haus of Whacks Challenge.

That in mind, in order to reach a body count of six eligible victims for taxidermy, you are going to have to kill both of your parents, which wouldn’t always be an option, assuming you grew up in a one-parent household or one of your parents had previously died.

After that, you’ll need to marry your partner, murder them, have their body taxidermied, then repeat the process until you reach six kills and six taxidermies. As usual, Drive-By is the safest method of murder in terms of avoiding cops or retaliation from your potential victim.

One other thing to remember is that when seeking a partner, you should always use one of the two dating apps and purposely seek partners with a lot of money. That way, you can inherit their assets after their death, and whatever money you inherit through this method can go toward purchasing a museum, which doesn’t come cheap at all.

Fill up that one wing with taxidermied bodies and you should be all good to go! As usual, BitLife will allow you to pick one of four prize chests, all of which contain a new hat or eyewear.
