Fans of the series have already been eagerly waiting for Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris that is set to come out on PC, Playstation, and Xbox next year, so everyone was pleasantly surprised when Bandai Namco announced a mobile game was coming as well. Sword Art Online: Alicization Braiding is an upcoming free to play RPG that will be released on Android and iOS platforms.
Sword Art Online is an animated series that is set in a world where people get to play MMORPGs through virtual reality worlds. Since the series itself revolves around an in-game world, it came as no surprise when it spawned several games later on. Sword Art Online: Alicization Braiding is expected to follow the Alicization Arc of the animated series that premiered in Japan in October 2018.

Bandai Namco also launched a teaser trailer for Sword Art Online: Alicization Braiding. No characters can be seen in the video, just what seems to be the perspective of a person walking in a dark corridor. The video then transitions to a view of a tree that’s bathing in sunlight. In the background, a woman’s voice can be heard, leaving fans to wonder, “Who is Alice talking to?”
