Splashy! is Voodoo’s latest endless arcade game for iOS devices. The French company, which is responsible for other addicitive titles such as Go Plane, Infinite Golf and Dune! to name a few, has released a new game, where your goal is to guide a ball as it bounces on an unending series of platforms on top of poles. Each bounce of the ball makes a small splash sound, hence the name. As with any of Voodoo’s games, the controls are very simple. You just need to touch the screen and move your finger in order to guide the ball. And of course, it is also never as easy as it sounds. Each game starts off slow and steady, making it easy for you to bounce the ball forward. As the pace picks up, though, it will be harder and harder to keep the ball going. 1. Aim For Multipliers
Jumping from one platform to the next will reward you with one measly point. If you don’t mind playing a single game for hours, then simply jumping forward is enough for you. However, if you really want to get top scores, you will need to pay attention to where you land. Platforms have white circles on them. Hitting the white circle will give you a multiplier. This multiplier will keep increasing for as long as you keep hitting the white dot. This is a good way to rake in major points. If you miss even once, the score multiplier will automatically end.
2. Make The Platforms Bigger
As you progress through Splashy!, you will notice several rainbow tiles scattered about. Hitting these rainbow tiles will make the platforms bigger. Continuously hitting rainbow tiles will keep making the platforms bigger, allowing you to land with no worries. If you fail to hit one rainbow tile, all the platforms will return to their original size, so be careful.
3. Unlock Balls And Platforms
There are several balls and platforms available for you to unlock. The ball skins in the game are purely cosmetic and have no impact on gameplay. The platform skins, on the other hand, can be useful. Some of them are square in shape, making it easier hit targets without worrying too much. Keep unlocking news skins even if you already have ones that you like. It is not just for fun, it can help you progress further in the game as well.
4. How To Turn Off The Ads
Focus is the most important thing in this game. Any distractions can mean the end of your run. Unfortunately, there are random ads that pop up from time to time. If you want to get rid of them, you will need to make a two-dollar in-game purchase. An alternative to that is to turn off the connectivity of your device in order to keep the game from accessing the ads online. No access to ads means you will be able to play the game in peace without spending anything.
5. Collect The Gems
Gems are available for you to collect throughout the game. It is supposedly the premium currency of Splashy!, but there is no store available at the moment for spending these. Since they do exist, though, that means the developers have plans of offering premium content in the future. Just keep collecting gems, and you will eventually be able to find use for them once the developers add more content.
