Did you know, dragons enjoy playing golf, too? In Modernist Games’ brand new mobile title Dragon Putt, you get to play mini golf with powerful dragons. This iOS-exclusive game lets you spend hours playing on wacky courses that change every time you play. Complete various courses in order to gain experience and upgrade your dragons. You can get more dragons by collecting eggs. If you want to compete against real players from around the world, you can participate in weekly multiplayer leagues. There are also special events and daily challenges for you to complete. You can even build your own course and share it with other players. There are just so many things for you to do in this game. It can be a bit overwhelming when you are still starting out. Make sure you read our Dragon Putt tips and tricks first, so you know how to get on the right track.

1. Don’t Depend On The Guide Lines

The game shows you the potential path of your ball using guide lines while you are aiming. These are dotted lines that appear on the screen as you aim your shot. Even though these can be useful for flat terrain, keep in mind that they can often be inaccurate. The problem with the guide lines is that they do not take into consideration the elevation of the path and the obstacles that is in the ball’s way. These can affect your shot by a lot so be careful.

2. Compete Against Other Players

The multiplayer mode is one way to gauge how well you are progressing in Dragon Putt. You can compete against other players when you unlock this feature at level 5. Don’t worry because you won’t actually be going head to head against your opponent. Instead, you will both complete a course and the game will compare your scores. Your score will be dependent on how quickly you were able to go through the course as well as the number of shots you made. Don’t be afraid to go against other players. Top players get awesome rewards weekly, including valuable dragon eggs.

3. Ignore The Coins

As you play the game, you will probably notice coins that are scattered throughout the courses. You can pick these up if you want, but if it means adding shots to your game, it is better if you just ignore them. Coins on the course are only worth one coin per piece. It’s really not worth compromising your end score over something so small. You will get a lot more coins if you do well and level up.

4. Bert Is Your Friend

One of the first dragons you can unlock is Bert. Each dragon has a special ability, but Bert’s is one of the best. His special ability is More Shots, which means you get more shots in a game. Having more shots will help you complete each course under par. Of course, you are free to check out the skills of other dragons to see which ones best suit your playstyle. If you need a reliable back up plan, however, then Bert is your man.

5. Inclines Can Be Tricky

Some courses have inclines, and getting past them can be frustrating. If you use too little power, your ball will roll right back. If you use too much power, the ball will fly right off the incline and head outside of the course. You will need to practice a lot in order to get the swing just right for these. As a rule, though, it is better to be underpowered than over.

6. Focus On Your Favorite Dragon

There are several dragons available in the game, and you can upgrade each of them. It is more cost-efficient, however, to just focus on one of them. Pick your favorite dragon as soon as you can, then spend all your resources in upgrading him. Upgrades cost a lot of gold and eggs, so it is better to just choose one. You can always upgrade the other dragons later in the game when you are rich enough.

It’s time to get swinging in Dragon Putt! Just follow the tips and tricks listed above and you will be winning games in no time! If you have anything to add, feel free to leave a message in the comment area!
