Vikings: War of Clans Tips & Strategy Guide: 6 Hints for World Domination

Vikings: War of Clans is an immersive strategy game from Plarium, which got an update recently. This game puts you in the world of the Vikings, “where freedom, power, fear, and violence” reign supreme. You will be leading warriors into battle while managing you base and taking part in ‘strategic” campaigns. And as you keep on winning more battles, you’ll be coming away with more useful loot which you can use to your benefit. There are also different types of warriors to choose from, great rewards for completing quests and tasks, a gear crafting mechanic, and of course, battles against other human players from around the world.

1. Always Follow The Main Quest Path

By tapping on the button on the top left side of your screen, you’ll see your next quest, or objective in the game. These quests are what would set you on the right path in this game; these are things you need to do in order to keep your city up to speed, have the right buildings to ensure you’re on the right track, and protect that city with the best warriors available. Completing quests will earn you some nice rewards, including resources and silver. Keep on completing those quests, as they’ll tell you what to do next.

2. By All Means, Join A Clan

They don’t call this game Vikings: War of Clans for nothing. Yes, this is one of those games alright, and you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by joining a clan, or a group of players that help each other out. How can other clan members help you out? Well, they can build some structures around your city, bolster your army with some units, and do much more to help you against opposing clans. Joining a clan is free of charge, but creating one will cost you 1,000 gold – we would definitely advise looking for a clan to join, as opposed to starting one, especially if you’re a new player.

3. You Can Trust In Loki

In Norse mythology, Loki is a sneaky guy whom you can never seem to trust 100 percent. But in Vikings: War of Clans, you can put your trust in him and open his golden chest. That chest can be found at the bottom right corner of your screen. If that chest has a number above it, you can go ahead and open it, and treat yourself to some free stuff. Again, this may include resources, which are never a bad thing to have. Also, you can open Loki’s chest every 15 minutes, making him quite trustworthy, and rewarding.

4. Keep Yourself Busy

The rolled-up scroll found on the top left corner of your device’s screen contains your tasks window; tap on the scroll and you can view these tasks. Tasks are similar to quests, but in here, you need to start them but don’t need to do anything on your end. Just wait until the timer runs out so you can collect the rewards. Always make sure you’ve got at least a few tasks running to let those rewards keep flowing in.

5. More Information On Tasks

There are three different types of tasks in the game, namely personal, clan, and premium tasks. And the rewards can vary based on the type of task. Personal ones allow you to earn resources and general rewards, clan tasks offer you similar rewards, but with additional goodies for your fellow clan members, and premium tasks are usually the ones you can start one at a time, while being quite hard to come by. The latter tasks, however, earn you the best rewards, so try to be on the lookout for them, as they tend to appear every two hours or so.

6. Research New Types Of Knowledge

The oracle building has a list of different types of knowledge which you can research. These run the gamut in terms of topic, but they can all be helpful to your city in general. As you go further into the knowledge tree, you’ll earn more passive bonuses, and as we always say, passive bonuses are often more important than the active ones!
