Trouble is brewing in Flavoria, and it is up to you and the Defenders of Deliciousness to save the day! Available on iOS and Android, Taste Buds is a colorful puzzle game from PlayQ, that features cute characters named Sweet, Spicy, Sour, Salty, Bitter, and Umami. Your goal is to help them defeat the evil Happy Monster Company who are trying to rid the world of flavor. There are over 180 puzzles and six different game modes to play. 1. There Is No Timer
The focus of this game is on solving the puzzles, and the good news is that you are free to take as much time as you need in order to do so. You won’t have to worry about beating a timer while solving puzzles. Use this to your advantage. Avoid rushing when solving the puzzle. Think about each move and whether or not it takes you closer to your goal. You might think it’s too easy if there is no timer but the difficulty level increases as you go along. Use the earlier levels to practice spotting patterns in the puzzles as this skill will become useful in later levels.
2. Watch The Number of Moves
Even though there is no time limit, there are still a few things that you need to keep in mind while playing. Each puzzle has its own set of objectives that need to be met. You may be asked to gather different food items by clearing them from the puzzle. Meeting these objectives will complete the puzzle. The catch is that you need to complete these objectives within a certain number of moves. If you run out of moves before you meet all of the objectives, then you fail the level. Make sure you focus on meeting the objectives first before you aim for anything else. For example, if the objective is to gather a dozen mushrooms, then you should prioritize clearing mushrooms from the board even if there are possible combos with other food items. Performing combos in a level won’t matter if you end up wasting all your moves.
3. Eat The Super Food
The game has different characters with their own special abilities. These abilities can be used by eating super foods. Learn the different abilities of the Defenders of Deliciousness so you can use them strategically in puzzles. You are free to use them any time you want but they will disappear once the stage is over. Make sure you eat them before you complete a puzzle or run out of moves or they will end up being put to waste.
4. Choose The Right Character
As mentioned above, there are different characters that you can use in the game. You should always take their abilities into consideration when choosing which one to use. Some of them are more useful in certain stages. Bringing the right character in a stage will go a long way in helping you clear all the puzzles.
