In the game you control a tank, and you shoot at your opponent at an angle. There are dozens of weapons to choose from. Pick regular missiles for precision shooting or go all out with an atomic bomb. Each weapon has to be used strategically in order to maximize its damaging potential.

1. Choose The Weapon, Not The Tank

In Tank Stars the tanks pretty much have the same stats overall. Their primary difference lies in the weapons they are able to equip. That means you should choose your tank based on the weapon you want to use. The best way to win is to simply have the best weapons in the game.

The best, however, depends on your play style. Try out the different weapons and invest in heavily in upgrading your favorite ones. Make sure you are fully comfortable with the use of the weapon you choose. The biggest danger in this game is using a weapon you cannot control.

2. Collect Those Chests

Winning battles against the game’s AI and watching video advertisements will earn you chests. Opening chests will reward you with weapon cards, coins, and even gems. Once you collect the required number of weapon cards, you will be able to upgrade the corresponding weapon.

Of course, you will need coins to complete the upgrade, so make sure you have a lot of it as well. Upgrading weapons will increase their star rating, effectively increasing their damage. Some weapons also get increased explosion range upon upgrade.

3. How To Win In Tournament Mode

Tournament mode allows you to send out your best tanks against wave after wave of enemy tanks. Aside from picking your most powerful tanks, you should also take into consideration the type of weapons they have. As much as possible, try to bring area-damage tanks with you.

Since you will be facing multiple tanks at once, you need weapons that can deal damage to several targets at the same time. Using a very powerful tank is not going to do much if it gets overwhelmed by the number of targets.

4. Look For Green Boxes

While you are in the middle of battle, you will often see a few things spawn such as sheep and green boxes. Running over sheep will kill them but does nothing to help you win. It could be fun to watch depending on what you find amusing, though.

Green boxes, on the other hand, are crates that contain weapons that you can add to your arsenal. These are great for giving you alternate options in case you are in a pinch later on. You can switch to a different weapon at any time, allowing you to adapt to different situations.

5. Know Your Weapon’s Range

Weapons have different ranges. For example, the Abrams tank tends to have a lot of short-range weapons. They are powerful, but you will need to use up a lot of fuel to get within range of your opponent. Make sure you familiarize yourself with the different ranges of your weapons in order to use them effectively in battle. Try to find a tank that has weapons for different ranges, so you can just switch depending on your enemy’s location.
