Slash Mobs Tips, Cheats & Guide: 5 Hints You Need to Know

Slash Mobs is a fantasy adventure style game on iOS and was developed by DoubleJump Games. In Slash Mobs the goal is simple, you are an unnamed hero on a quest to slash as many mobs as possible. That is more or less the gist of it, and that is what you will be doing throughout the entire game, so buckle up, there’s a lot of tapping to do.

In the beginning you start out alone, and have to tap the screen to deal damage to the monsters in front of you. You can take your time, don’t worry about it, because monsters actually never attack you. So there is no fear of imminent death. As your quest goes on there will be many heroes that you can recruit to join your party. These heroes will the monsters with you and increase the amount of damage per second that you deal.

New heroes cost gold to recruit and you get more gold by fighting monsters, so that’s basically how the game is played. There are other important gameplay features worth noting. You can level up both your abilities and the abilities of your heroes, to further increase your damage per second. This is also done with gold, so being able to balance buying new heroes, with upgrading the ones you already have will be something that you have to consider when playing through the game.

There are also additional challenges that you have to watch out for: after every ten stages there will be a boss monster with extra health. Not only that, there will be a countdown timer and if you do not beat the boss within that set time limit then you will have to attempt it again later when you are more powerful. In addition to the regular bosses, you will periodically encounter dungeons. This is never explicitly mentioned, but the only way to get shards, which is what you use to level up your hero’s stats, are found by beating dungeons. But beware, dungeons can be extremely tough, even when using abilities.

So, brave adventurer, read on for the best tips and tricks for Slash Mobs!

1. To Make Bank You Have To Be Patient

Slash Mobs is not the type of iOS game that you play constantly, rather, it is one of those games where you set the wheels in motion, and then check back periodically to reap the rewards. One of the best ways to do this is with chests and quests.

Chests are obtained by beating bosses, and you need to wait for a while to unlock them. But usually they will contain a large amount of money for you to spend. It is best to unlock them early in the day so that when you come back in the evening you will be able to open them and continue with the game.

Another easy way to make money is with quests. Quests are challenges that are reset every day, and they will reward you with gold if you perform certain actions. Some of the easiest ones are the ones like e.g. complete a certain amount of levels, earn a certain amount of gold etc. To make the most of these quests you need to accept them immediately so that when you check back later in the day, the quests will already be completed. Then, what you can do, is swap them out for even better quests. This cycle will then continue indefinitely.

2. If You Want To Win Big You Have To Grind It Out

As mentioned above, Slash Mobs is not something that you play for an extended period of time. This is because when you are away your heroes will earn gold for you by killing monsters automatically. There is a neat trick that you can use that will make this process even easier.

Usually what happens in the game is that if your heroes get powerful then they will easily kill monsters and advance through the levels quickly, to the point where it will be difficult for them to kill monsters as quickly as they did before. But if you are not there to help them, then they will not fight the boss automatically. What this means is that you can upgrade your heroes so that they can kill all the monsters in the level in one second, but will not advance to the boss automatically.

What this means is that they will be able to farm one monster per second until you tell them to fight the boss with you. If you leave this on for a few hours, late in the game this amounts easily to billions or trillions of gold that you now have, without even having to lift a finger.

3. Hero Upgrades Are The Way To Go

There is a large amount of heroes that you can buy in Slash Mobs, but each one of them can be upgraded up to 800 times, which leads to a surprising amount of depth into the upgrade system, especially when you have a lot of different heroes to choose from.

The first question that you will have to deal with, is whether you should focus on buying new heroes or upgrading the ones you already have. Well the answer to that question is that at first you should focus on buying new heroes, because the difference in damage per second between a new hero and upgrading a hero you already have is very large.

However, later in the game, when you are earning billions of gold, then it pays well to upgrade the heroes that you have already amassed. Since you are earning much more, all of the early heroes can be upgraded to their full potential, without a significant investment on your part.

But one thing that you definitely have to be aware of is that not every hero is worth upgrading immediately, some are better value for money (in terms of damage per second for the amount of gold you pay), so they should be prioritised. One example is Finley Darktide, who is actually the first hero that you buy. His upgrades are quite cheap so you can quickly upgrade him to around level 300, where he does around 600 million damage per second. However, the best hero in terms of value for money in the mid game would definitely be Chris Gopher. You get him fairly early on and initially he is quite expensive, but later in the game you can upgrade him to about level 175 where he will do 1 billion damage per second. Although other heroes will have more damage than Chris, none will have better value.

4. Don’t Neglect Your Tap Damage And Abilities

In addition to upgrading the heroes that you have, you can also upgrade your own damage per tap, and the damage of your special abilities. These special abilities are unlocked as you level up your damage per tap, so upgrading it is definitely a must-do.

For most of the abilities they only really need to be upgrading once or twice, maybe even three times. This is because they are modifiers on your damage per tap. So even though an ability might give you 10 times the amount of damage per tap, it is worthless if you are only outputting a small amount of damage per tap initially.

The best abilities to upgrade first are rage and decimate, the others don’t really need to be upgraded too much because of how powerful they already are, and if they damage per second of your team is already really good then it won’t matter too much.

5. Never Forget Bonus Videos And Daily Log Ins

Finally, one thing you should always keep aware of is any method by which you can earn more gems and gold, without having to spend any money at all. The easiest way is just to wait while playing the game. Periodically some chests will appear and they will offer you to watch a video and receive some gold.

Besides that bonus, there is another one for daily log ins. The maximum amount is 7 days in a row so it is pretty easy to attain. The first few days do not give you that many gems, but actually if you keep going its really worth it. This is because on the seventh day you get 15 shards, which will save you a lot of time trying to beat dungeons.
