Simulator Hoverboard Tips, Tricks & Cheats: 4 Hints Every Player Should Know

If you remember Christmas shopping from the last holiday season, you certainly recall that hoverboards were all the rage. Most everybody, especially the younger set, wanted one underneath the Christmas tree, no matter how dangerous critics said they were. But did you know you can actually enjoy a perfectly, unquestionably safe hoverboard experience? By this, we’re referring to Smile Apps and Games’ Simulator Hoverboard, a new mobile game for Android and iOS devices. Using your fingers, you can control your (virtual) hoverboard, and like the many “fail” videos we saw during the holiday weeks, the game claims to be “very funny.” You can also choose the speed of your hoverboard, tweaking it to your liking.

That’s pretty much all there is to it. So if you need help controlling your hoverboard and getting the most out of this game, we recommend you join us for some Simulator Hoverboard tips and tricks.

1. About Test Mode

Test mode allows you to do roll around casually on your hoverboard. Hold two fingers down on the board’s foot pads in order to make it move, and let go of one or both fingers to make it stop. You can also select the speed of your board in Test mode – choose 1 for slow, 2 for medium speed, and 3 for fast. It’s as easy as that, as this is the mode where you want to go if you’re a beginner and want to get a feel for the game before playing it in earnest.

2. How Does Standard Mode Work?

This game also has Standard mode, where you ride your hoverboard with the intent of scoring more points and going as far as possible. As you may have guessed, this is an endless game mode. Hit on the left and right buttons to move your board from one lane to another, and to avoid obstacles that you may encounter along the way.

3. How Are Points Awarded?

Since we explained that you can move left or right to dodge obstacles, each obstacle avoided by doing this will also earn you a point. Jumping over them, however, will be worth two points. So if you avoid one obstacle and jump over two other ones along the way, that will give you five points. But if you decide to simply move out of the way for all three obstacles, that will only be worth three points. So, with that in mind, you’re better off jumping than you are dodging obstacles.

4. Level Up By Scoring Consecutive Points

Stringing consecutive points together would be what you need to do if you want to move on to the next level, and unlock it on the level select screen. Obstacles tend to vary depending on the level, and you may encounter some that are especially hard to get away from; sometimes, you may even find yourself painted in a corner. But with enough practice and patience, you’ll know how to avoid these situations in the future.
