Shadow Blade: Reload Tips, Cheats & Guide: 4 Awesome Tricks You Need to Know

Shadow Blade: Reload is the sequel to Crescent Moon Games’ Shadow Blade, and while you can download the original game for your Android device, the sequel is available only on iOS as a paid title. This game is an action-platformer set in a visually striking world where the ancient teachings of ninjas and samurai clash upon a modern landscape, with the protagonist of the first game, Kuro, again in your control. Like in other platformers, you’ll be doing a lot of running and jumping as you avoid traps and kill enemies. The game currently has over 40 levels and a total of four boss fights, as well as a “full motion comics” storyline which you can follow. Aside from the main story campaign, there are also challenges, and the option to compete with other players as you move up in the Game Center rankings.

Having said all that, we’d like you to get started hacking and slashing the right way, so check out our list of Shadow Blade: Reload tips and tricks below. You might need them if you’ve just downloaded the game for your iPhone or iPad.

1. Find A Good Rhythm

First of all, it’s important that you figure out the controls in Shadow Blade: Reload. You can move left and right by using the controls on the bottom left hand side of your screen, while the three buttons on the bottom right perform special actions – slash, jump, throw shuriken. And once you’ve familiarized yourself with the controls, you can then focus on developing a steady rhythm to your actions – balance out your running, jumping, and slashing actions.

2. Speed Is Also Important

While it’s essential that you develop a rhythm to the things you do in the game, you also need to be fast. If you want to rank higher up in the leaderboard, it’s also important that these rhythmic actions also be done quickly. It won’t be easy at first, but with some practice, moving smoothly AND quickly will become second nature to you.

3. You Have To Be Fast While Avoiding Obstacles

So in this game, you have to move smoothly, move quickly, and move to avoid obstacles. Yes, that is absolutely correct, and you will certainly be doing your share of fast movements to avoid obstacles, particularly the spikes. Spikes will instantly end your run, though you can take solace in the fact that you normally wouldn’t have to wait too long before getting to a checkpoint.

4. Be Prepared For The Shadow Hunters And Their Ilk

You shouldn’t have a problem dealing with the lower-level enemies, but when you face up with the Shadow Hunters, you’ll need to be extra-vigilant. One type of Shadow Hunter can kill you instantly with one shot, while another type fires off heat-seeking missiles your way. It can be very hard to dodge those missiles, so always keep your guard up and, if we hadn’t stressed it enough previously, be quick about it. You’ll want to take these bad guys out before the others so you don’t have to deal with the stuff they fire at you.
