Pocket Mortys Guide & Tips: How to Get More Morty Manipulator Chips

Yes, we’ve got yet another Pocket Mortys strategy guide for you to check out – we’ve already talked about general tips and also about crafting recipes, and we shall now be dealing with Morty Manipulator Chips, which you probably have read about in our previous guides. Before we move forward, here’s what Pocket Mortys is all about – this is an Android and iOS game from Adult Swim Games, based on the Rick and Morty cartoon series. This game allows you to collect more than 70 different Mortys, train them, upgrade them, evolve them, and have them fight other Mortys controlled by other Ricks “throughout the multiverse.”

Now, that we’ve given you a brief backgrounder on the game, let’s get to the meat of the matter, and the reason why we’ve got another strategy guide for you. We shall be talking about Morty Manipulator Chips, which allow you to collect more Mortys to add to your team, and we’ll be telling you some ways in which you can get more of them, and how to use them properly.

1. Buy The Chips

At the start of the game, you’ll get one Morty Manipulator Chip as a freebie, and after that, you’re on your own. But it doesn’t have to be hard to get these chips. You can go to the Citadel and visit Salesman Rick’s shop, or access the shop by tapping the menu icon on the upper right hand side of your screen. One chip costs 500 Schmeckles (in-game currency, that is), but before you buy chips at the store, you’ll need to have at least two badges and have defeated at least one Council member.

2. Go Craft ‘Em

Aside from buying Morty Manipulator Chips at Salesman Rick’s, you can craft them at any one of the crafting benches. You’ll need a Supercharged Battery, a Circuit Board, and a Tin Can, with the Supercharged Battery also being craftable. That latter item can be crafted by combining a Battery and a Turbulent Juice Tube.

3. Using The Manipulator Chips

There’s a simple guideline to remember when battling feral Mortys in another Dimension. If you see that their health is in the red zone, meaning critical, you can use a Manipulator Chip and be perfectly sure of capturing them. If their health is in the yellow zone, meaning slightly in danger but not necessarily critical, then you chances of capturing a Morty become 50-50 – in fact, some say the chances of failure are greater than the chances of success. So to be on the safe side, only wait till their health is in the red zone before using a chip.

4. Try This Cheat If You Aren’t Able To Use The Chip In Battle

There may be times where you may completely forget about using the Manipulator Chip, and if this happens, exit the game in the middle of the battle, then restart the game. As the game saves your progress once you quit normally, you’ll be right back where you started, facing the feral Morty, with your chip still intact. Go use this cheat before Adult Swim nerfs it – you never know if and when they would!
