Pixel Gun 3D: Battle Royale Tips, Cheats & Strategy Guide to Take Down Your Enemies

Pixel Gun 3D used to be a simple shooter game with pixel block graphics. When the battle royale fever swept over the gaming world, Cubic Games made the wise decision to jump on the bandwagon. Android and iOS players now have an action-packed battle royale that is brimming with features. To start off, there are two types of multiplayer mode: worldwide and local. Players also get to battle it out in over 35 unique maps, a feature that puts the frontrunners of battle royale games to shame. There are also over 100 different types of weapons and upgrades, including sniper rifles, rocket launchers, energy weapons, and more. If that’s not enough, you can also try out the different game modes that include Deathmatch, Team Battle, Flag Capture, and Coop Survival. The game provides an endless world of competitive fun, and our Pixel Gun 3D: Battle Royale tips, cheats and strategies are here to help you come out on top!

1. Rush To Level 3

When you reach Level 3 in Pixel Gun 3D: Battle Royale, you will be able to unlock the Arena and Co-op Survival modes. Arena mode is the game’s original shooter mode where you just clear wave after wave of enemies. Co-op Survival follows the same mechanics only you get to work with other players. Despite being relegated to a minigame status, the Arena mode is still the best way to earn coins since you are rewarded for each wave that you clear. When playing this mode, just wait for the monsters to approach you, then fire away. Don’t forget to move from side to side while shooting to avoid getting hit.

Keep in mind that enemies in these two modes come in different shapes and sizes. Instead of prioritizing headshots, it is actually better for you to aim low. This way, you can also hit small monsters that may be crawling on the ground. This is even more crucial in Co-op Survival because the player with the most number of kills will win.

2. Play The Campaign Mode

The original game had a level-based mode where you clear enemies per stage. If you miss that, you can find it in the minigames under Campaign. The goal here is to clear all stages with three stars. To earn your first star, you just need to kill all the monsters. The second star is slightly more difficult to achieve because you need to kill everyone within a time limit. The third star is the toughest to achieve since it requires that you take no damage throughout the entire stage. The good news is that you get to earn all three stars regardless of difficulty level, so if you are just after the stars, you can always choose easy mode. If you are still struggling to get that third star even in easy mode, you can always buy a shield prior to entering the stage. Damage to shields or armor does not affect your ability to get the third star.

If you are wondering if there is any point to playing in normal or hard mode, the answer is yes. You earn more coins in hard mode than in normal or easy. Completing the level in Hard mode rewards you with three coins. Normal mode gives you two coins while easy mode just gives you one. It might be a good idea to start out with hard mode before trying normal and easy. This way, you would be used to handling tougher challenges before aiming for the three stars.

3. Collect A Lot Of Keys

If you want to get more rewards in Pixel Gun 3D: Battle Royale, a good way is through collecting keys. Keys can be used to purchase chests. These chests contain random items and cost 5, 50, and 500 keys depending on the rarity. To collect keys, you just need to participate in multiplayer tournament modes and win. When you start out, it is alright to spend your keys right away on common chests. Once you have enough equipment in your armory, you should start saving your keys for rare chests.

4. Know Your Weapons

As we mentioned above, there are over a hundred different types of weapons in the game. Some are better than others, but the important thing for you to learn when to use each type of weapon. You can have more than one weapon in game, and you should master switching to a better-suited weapon depending on the situation. We have listed the weapon types below along with their recommended use.

Sniper Rifle

One of the most popular weapons in any shooting game, the sniper rifle is best for sniping. That means you will be shooting at a long range, preferably at a target who is unaware of your location. Since the sniper rifle has considerably low fire rate, you may not get a second or third shot once you reveal your location.

Machine Gun

Thanks to its rapid fire rate and decent damage, the machine gun is great for mid-range battles. You could possible pick off from a long distance, but the chances are pretty slim. You may end up wasting a lot of bullets.

Shotgun / Heavy Weapon

These are slow weapons that have very limited range. Use them only when you are just a few meters away from your target. Using these for mid-range battles would almost guarantee a miss.

Melee Weapons

These have high damage but since you will have to be within punching distance in order to use them, another player would have filled you with bullet holes before you can even come close. Save melee weapons for unarmed zombies in Arena mode.

Special Weapons

In Pixel Gun 3D: Battle Royale you will find a variety of special weapons. It is best if you fire a couple of test shots if you are unfamiliar with the weapon you picked up. Special weapons have different ranges, so you will need to figure out the best use for them once you pick them up.

5. Visit Your Armory

One of the things you should do regularly is to drop by your Armory, especially after picking up new equipment. This is where you can equip your weapons, wearables, and gadgets. Your character can have up to six weapons at a time. Wearables include hats, masks, armor, skins, capes, and boots. All wearables have boosts, so they are not just for aesthetic purposes. Finally, gadgets are miscellaneous equipment such as throwables, tools, and support items such as med packs.

The exceptions to the above mechanics are the Royale and League modes. Battle royale does not have any equipment, so you will only be taking your looks with you. League mode, on the other hand, allows you to equip separate items for looks and for boosts. That means you can take all the best boosts with you without looking like a garage sale monster.

6. Pick The Right Map

There are dozens of maps available in Pixel Gun 3D: Battle Royale, with sizes ranging from small to extra large. Make sure you pay attention to the size of the map you are playing in. Small maps mean you will encounter opponents more often. It also means you will most likely be fighting in either short or mid ranges. Extra large maps, on the other hand, have a lot of hiding spots for snipers. You will need to adjust your playstyle based on the map you are in. Try out the different maps and see which ones are best suited for you.

7. Try Out Clan Mode

While the name might make you think you will be part of some kind of guild, this mode is actually more related to Clash of Clans than anything else. You will be building your own fortress, and you will have to defend it. You can also raid other people’s forts by attacking. You will still have access to your weapons and other equipment, so make sure you have the best possible gear before going after someone else’s base.

8. Play It Safe In Deathmatch

Dying in Deathmatch mode will deduct one kill from your total. Make sure you play it safe and check the area before opening fire on another player. In fact, it is better if you hunt for players who are already engaged in battle with another. This way, you can pick off both parties without them realizing you are there. It also makes it easier to kill them both since they would most likely have damaged each other prior to your interference.

9. Get Free Stuff

There are two types of currency in the game. Gems are the premium currency. Coins, on the other hand, is the regular or common one. You can buy either of them using real money, but you can also get them for free by watching a few ads. Just tap on the Free Currency button in your base to play a video. After each video advertisement, you will receive either gems or coins. You can also get free royal chests by going into the chest store and watching some more ads. If you have some free time, take advantage of these freebies in order to maximize your progress in the game.

10. Forget Everything In Battle Royale Mode

If you have played any battle royale game before, you would know that you won’t be able to take any of your existing weapons with you. You drop onto the map with nothing but the shirt on your back. You will then have to frantically search for equipment that are scattered throughout. The goal is to be the last one standing, so avoid conflict if you can. Observe your opponents and open fire only when you are sure that you will get the kill. One top of everything else, pay attention to your location on the map in relation to the safe zone. If you are outside the safe zone, prioritize running to safety over getting any more kills. You can just wait for other runners once you have secured your position.

Unfortunately, vehicles or building functions have not made it into the battle royale version of the game. Regardless, there are still a few things you can do to gain the upper hand. You still benefit from having the better vantage point, so use your ability to jump to reach high ground. Of course, make sure you have a long-range weapon with you before you make that climb.

11. Build Your Base

One of the most fun things to do during your down time is to build up your base. You get to buy all sorts of items to install on your base. Before you get carried away, though, make sure you pay attention to the boosts you are getting. An item’s price is not necessarily a reliable basis for its usefulness. Instead, you should be checking for a + or ++ marker on the item’s description. This indicates the strength of the boost you will be getting from that particular item.

Don’t forget to check out the devices in the base shop as well. Get a Treasury to be able to drill three coins per day. A Driller, on the other hand, will let you get one gem per day. A Lucky Clover will give you one lucky chest daily. Amplifiers allows you to incubate eggs twice as fast. Finally, the Jukebox will let you change the lobby music in settings.

12. Playing With Pets

As you play Pixel Gun 3D: Battle Royale, you will often pick up eggs. These eggs can be hatched in order to acquire pets. Just go to your Armory and choose the Pets tab. At the top of the Pets screen is an Eggs tab which will show you all the eggs you have collected. Tap on an egg that is ready to hatch to get a pet. The pet will then be transferred automatically to your Bestiary. Pets are useful in battle because they will attack enemies for you. You can also improve their stats by leveling them up through training. Keep in mind that training them will cost you coins, though.

It’s time to lock and load in Pixel Gun 3D: Battle Royale! Be sure to stick to our tips and tricks above and you will be winning battles with ease!

Why does this game allow so much cheating, especially in coop mode? I report the cheaters and see them back time and time again. Is there any way to fix this?

You have to first buy and own the weapon before you can equip it. They are purchased with gold, gems and the tickets that you acquire and build up in the gallery after each new weapon you get.

Hi! My son is young and plays this game on his iPad / he’s been asking me how to equip with the guns that show as available when he gets to certain levels, for example he’s on level 9 and the armory has a gun that says available at level 9, but there’s no option to equip him with it. Are you able to help? Thanks
