Monstergotchi is an iOS-exclusive RPG from FDG Entertainment, that lets you play as a monster after being resurrected by a wizard. 1. Create A Balanced Monster
The main goal for this game is to be the most powerful monster out there. The easiest way to do this is to build a well-balanced monster. This way, you will be prepared in any given situation. There are a lot of players go for a pure offensive monster, and when they take a hit they go down very easily. When you start, you will be given the choice of picking out your body parts. Wolf parts inflict physical damage. Scarecrow parts inflict air, and frog parts inflict water damage. Choose the parts to your liking and don’t be afraid to experiment. There are a lot of builds in the game. Also the parts that you choose for your torso will be the one you are resistant to. Let’s say you chose the wolf part for a torso. You will become resistant to physical attacks. Any torso is fine since you have no way of predicting what kind of enemy you will encounter. Each torso has its own strengths and weaknesses.
2. Watch Out For Action Commands
Sometimes in combat you will be prompted an action command during an attack. These are the little tap indicators that appear on screen. Successfully tapping all of them will result in a more powerful attack. So it is very important to be vigilant about these things. It may give you the extra damage you need to finish of the battle. The second type of action command is for the charge attacks. Every time you attack you will see an icon fill up with red. Once it is full there will be a flaming button showing that the charge attack is ready for use. These are more powerful versions of the attack. There are special action commands for them too. Mash the green button as much as you can to fill it up really quick. Doing this will make your charge attack do double the damage.
3. Health Is Wealth
Whenever you level up you will receive some points to allocate. It is highly recommended that you allocate some of the points towards your health. Doing this will give you more room to turn a battle around and come out victorious. The early battles will be hard because you will be taking in a lot of damage and potions only heal 25% of your health. Increasing your health will make your life easier as you will die less often.
4. Study Your Opponents And Do The Dailies
You can hold a tap on an enemy to see their full stats. You will be able to see what they are packing, and what their weaknesses and strengths are. This way, you will be able to make some counter play on them. Being prepared is always a good thing. Every day, there will be optional quests you can complete for some extra goodies. Try to do them as often as you can to abuse what they give daily.
