Who would have thought combining stuff could be so addicting? Merge Town is an iOS-exclusive game that comes after the phenomenal success of Gram Games’ original merge game, Merge Dragons. This time around, your goal is to create a buzzing metropolis by starting from a small plot of land. The rules are simple, you just need to buy houses from the in-game store and place it on your land. Once you have enough homes on your land, you can merge them together to make a bigger house. Keep in mind that only structures of the same variety can be combined. Keep merging buildings in order to earn experience and level up! As you gain more levels, you will be able to expand your town and discover new homes. Soon, you will be able to unlock entire towns for your expansion. 1. Wait For The Boxes
One of the best things you can do to get ahead in this game is to just leave it open when you are doing other things. The game gives you a free box every few minutes. These gift boxes have houses in them so you don’t really need to spend money to buy anything when you are idle. Just let the game run and wait until your land is filled with boxes. Open them all up and combine those that can be merged. After that, just rinse and repeat. Of course, tapping and doing everything manually is still the fastest way to progress. So, leaving the game running is just something that you can do when you don’t time to play.
2. Just Be Patient
As mentioned above, it will take a lot of work before you can have a bona fide metropolis. There are 38 levels that you need to unlock and each one takes progressively longer to achieve. Do not get impatient as the game is meant to be played for a long time. Just keep merging those houses and expand whenever you can. Your town will grow little by little, and it will be huge before you know it.
3. Don’t Miss Out On The Freebies
Take advantage of every opportunity to get free stuff in the game. It is pretty generous when it comes to freebies, you just need to be diligent in claiming them. The first thing you should do when you log into the game is to get the double-coin bonus. You can get this by watching a video advertisement. You can watch multiple ads in order to extend the coin bonus for up to eight hours. Make sure this bonus is always active because you will need a lot of coins if you want to progress in this game. Despite the fact that you get free houses, buying them directly from the in-game store is needed to move things along quicker.
Another bonus that you can get from watching ads is to level up a house that you get from a free box. Do this every time you have the chance because you will get more experience for merging higher level houses. Your progress will plateau by the time you get your first level 10 house so you will need all the help you can get in order to move forward.
4. When To Buy Houses
New houses get unlocked as you level up in the game. It’s only a matter of time before you start wondering which houses would be worth buying since there will be a lot of options. As a rule, always base your purchases on the profit-per-second of a house, and how difficult it was to acquire it in the first place. The reason behind this is that the price of a house increases after each purchase until it reaches that point that it won’t be worth buying anymore.
5. Before You Log Off
Of course, you can’t leave your device running forever so you will eventually have to log off. Before you do so, however, make sure you have all the slots on your land occupied by houses. Also, the best possible houses should be occupying each plot. Don’t forget the coin bonus we mentioned above as well. I am in level 22 and have already had over 11,000 merges to try to get one wheelbarrow. This is ridiculous . I can understand a few thousand but not this many and there is nothing else offered to be merged . So to me the game is dead.
