Jungle Clash Guide: 4 Tips & Tricks to Crush Your Enemies

Jungle Clash is an online PvP MOBA style iOS game developed by My.com, who are also known for games like Jungle Heat etc. So what exactly is Jungle Clash? The premise is quite simple really, you have a base and so does the enemy. Two armies enter and one army leaves. Both your base and the enemy’s share the same layout, namely, one tower in the middle where your general sits, and two towers on either side that protect the middle tower. Your objective in Jungle Clash is to destroy all your enemy’s towers.

To do this you will have at your disposal troops and a general. Both of these units come in the form of cards, which can be collected by winning battles and opening chests. During a battle you will have a certain amount of oil that you can use to deploy troops and use special abilities which can help turn the tide of battle. But don’t forget that all the tricks at your disposal are also available to your enemy, so there is a fair bit of strategy involved in winning matches in Jungle Clash.

So read on for some Jungle Clash tips and tricks that you can use to dominate your foes!

1. Deploy In Waves

There are many different types of units that you can deploy in any given combat situation in Jungle Clash, the benefits of each unit type will be discussed below, but for now let’s consider unit deployment and how that affects your strategy. Unit deployment is constrained by two main factors: first is the amount of oil that you have during the battle, and second is time (time meaning deployment time as well as recharge time).

Unlike in the real world, in Jungle Clash oil is an infinite resource that recharges over time. So you don’t have to worry too much about running out. What you do need to worry about is what to spend your oil on. In theory you could just wait for your oil to recharge fully, but battles are strictly timed and if the timer runs out then the battle is over. So it is not really an option to twiddle your thumbs and wait for your oil to recharge fully before making your next move. This is why choosing your units is very important.

The next thing you need to consider is the amount of time it takes to deploy a unit. A unit, once placed, takes a few seconds to actually appear on the battlefield. Once they appear they will go on cooldown until you can use them again. What this means is that you need to think carefully about when you want to place units down. Here’s an example, if you place units down one by one at the same location then there will be a time gap between each of their spawns. What this means is that enemy towers will pick them off one by one as they get close, leaving your troops little time to actually have an effect on the outcome of the battle.

So what this means is that your troops have to be deployed in waves to be effective. You should plan such that the units in front will soak up some damage from the tower and the units behind will start attacking it. So it is imperative that all units arrive at around the same time. So try place your units at the back of the map so that the other units you deploy will have time to spawn while the previous units are still walking.

2. Pay Attention To Unit Types

Jungle Clash has a number of different unit types that you can deploy in battle so you need to always be aware of what units your enemy has spawned, so that you can effectively counter them with units of your own.

A good rule of thumb is stick to ranged units for the bulk of your force, because too many melee units like Alphas will easily get picked off unless they have some long range support. Therefore, you should also include some units like snipers who will be placed at the back of your troops, who can pick off enemies that are engaging you. But watch out if your units get too bunched together because then they become easy pickings for special abilities that deal splash damage.

3. Don’t Waste Gems

This tip is quite a small one but should still be kept in mind because gems are an important resource. Try not to waste them with opening chests, especially in the beginning. The tutorial will encourage you to spend gems to open chests, but these open automatically in 5 seconds anyway. That’s right, only 5 seconds, so just wait it out rather than spending gems. That way you can properly save up for bigger and better chests.

Even if the time it takes to open a chest is really long that should not tempt you into spending your hard earned gems. Simply take a break from the game, it won’t go anywhere, and the chest will open by itself anyways. So don’t give in to temptation.

4. Manage Your Time Well

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, is to have good time management. As was mentioned above, all the battles in Jungle Clash follow a timer, and when the timer ends the battle will be over. So you need to properly balance waiting for your oil to recharge and attacking your enemy.

Try to match your enemy deployments so that your towers aren’t left undefended, don’t try to rush the enemy while they are rushing you. In other MOBA games this is known as a base race and won’t often go in your favour. So don’t risk it. Just focus on keeping the enemy tied down long enough while go on the offensive.

Since you only have a limited time in the battle don’t be squeamish about using your special abilities, there is no need to save them. When the need arises just go for it, if there are a large chunk of enemies then send a bombardment at them. If you need to go for a final push then spawn a special unit. The key here is that when you play Jungle Clash you play to win, so go all in.

That’s all you need to know to get the upper hand on your enemies. If there are any tips or tricks for Jungle Clash that we might have missed then feel free to let us know. Good luck out there, soldier!
