1. How To Take Down Zombies

If you have been watching any zombie movies or shows, you should know that you should always aim for the zombie’s head. They are like giant roaches that can survive any type of injury or dismemberment. If you want to take them down permanently, shoot them in the head. The game isn’t named Headshot ZD for nothing, you know.

2. Upgrade Your Supplies

As you rescue more people, the demand for supplies will naturally go up. Make it a habit to upgrade your water well and farm whenever you can. This will help ensure you have a stable supply of food and water for everyone. The last thing you want is for your camp to be overrun by zombies because of people starving to death.

3. Gather Key Resources

Exploring different areas will allow you to gather resources. There are some key resources, such as water and fuel, that can be found by simply exploring a new place. This is important as it gives you an alternate source of supplies, aside from the ones that you are generating back at the camp. Should anything go wrong, at least you will have extra resources to help sustain your camp a little longer. Exploration and scavenging for key resources should always be one of your top priorities.

4. Watch Out For Danger Zones

And by “watch out” we mean head right into them. When you look at the map and see an area that is marked by a Danger icon, that means you will be facing zombies that are a lot stronger than usual. Some might think that is scary, and steer clear of the place. We think that is an opportunity for you to level up a lot since you will be getting three times the experience and resource from that area as well. Of course, make sure you are fully prepared before jumping into an area full of tough zombies. We’re not sending you on a suicide mission.

5. Keep Exploring

Once you are more confident in your abilities, you should start heading out into the world. There are a lot of places for you to explore. These places have a lot of experience and resources to offer you, so make sure you take time to slowly go through them as you progress. Keep in mind, though, that they also have stronger zombies to offer along with the goodies. Proceed with caution if you don’t want to become zombie chow.

6. Kick Out Survivors

It is time to make some difficult decisions. After going through all that trouble to rescue those people, you might end up having to kick them out of your camp later on. At some point, you will start struggling with resources, especially if you were not able to scavenge a lot. There are dead weight survivors who don’t really do much for the camp. For the sake of the greater good, exile those survivors and save the rest of the people in your camp.

7. Use S-Bullets In Emergencies

When you are out exploring and find that you bit off more than you can chew, you better switch to S-Bullets before the zombies start chewing on you. S-Bullets are epic ammunition that deals massive damage to zombies. The problem is that they come in very limited supply. Make sure you only use them in emergency situations. It is always better to lose some valuable ammo than to lose your life while exploring. There are people waiting for you back home, you know.

8. Farm In Arcade Mode

If you are worried about exploring while under leveled, there is a way for you to level up in a safer environment. Head into Arcade mode for a safe, albeit monotonous, farming experience. You will be able to gain a lot of experience without having to worry too much about getting surprised by zombies. You just face off with waves upon waves of enemies. On top of that, you get a 100% experience bonus every seven plays.

9. Upgrade Your Survivors

Survivors need to learn how to defend themselves effectively. Not to mention how to keep their paws off the food supply once in a while. Promoting survivors will fill them with so much pride and gratitude that their damage will increase, and they will proactively reduce their water and food consumption. You gain better soldiers and lose less supplies. It’s a win-win situation, so make sure you promote survivors as soon as you can!

10. Save Your Battle Items

It probably should be common sense, but when you are living in a post-apocalyptic world, any item you have should be used sparingly. This is especially true when it comes to battle items. Battle items are mostly weapons and weapon parts. Of course, you would naturally want to use them in battle to make your life easier. You might want to hold off on doing that, though. As we mentioned above, promoting survivors will help you a lot in the long run. Unfortunately, you will need battle items in order to promote survivors. It is better if you upgrade survivors instead of consuming these items because of the long-term effects.

Facing off against millions of zombies is definitely challenging, so make sure you follow our Headshot ZD strategy guide to ensure you make it out alive!
