Gangstar Rio: City of Saints is Gameloft’s latest title in the popular Gangstar series, and it’s a sandbox game that will definitely remind you of Rockstar’s popular Grand Theft Auto series. In here, you will get to explore Rio de Janeiro, discovering five different neighborhoods and, for the first time in the series, you’ll also get to check out full 3D indoor environments. There are more than 60 missions, tons of random events that add the element of surprise, and lots of chances to kill corrupt politicians and rivals, among other criminal activities. Indeed, this promises another in-depth sandbox gaming experience, and another solid entry in the series.

1. How To Lose The Cops
As is the case in games of this type, it won’t be long before the police starts chasing you around town. Look at the number of badges on the top left portion of your screen; this is your wanted rating, and it determines how hard the cops are going to work to bring you to justice. However, there are several ways in which you can get away from the long arm of the law.
You can either hide or find special badges on the map, both of which can help you evade the police. If you see that the badges on the top left are gray, that means you’ve lost the fuzz; stay hidden for a long enough period of time and you wouldn’t have to worry about the police…for the meantime. One particularly neat thing you can do to dodge the police is to go to the beach, as for some reason, Rio’s cops don’t drive around water too well. You can also use remote areas to make yourself inconspicuous and hide yourself from the police.
2. Make Sure You’ve Got Enough Ammo
Gangstar Rio: City of Saints will certainly allow you to buy yourself some health and ammo any time you wish. There are ammo stores that allow you to buy these coveted resources, but you can also go to the game menu, tap on the map, then on the Shops icon, and get some prime access to health and ammo alike. You will, however, have to be sufficiently leveled up in order to use these items.
3. How To Win Races
If you’ve played any GTA title, you know how this goes – races can be hard to win, and it’s not only because of the high-speed turns and the fact that driving fast makes your car hard to control. You’ve also got to prepare yourself for drivers who play dirty. They’ll try to ram you and make you spin, so it would be best to try to stay out of harm’s way. But even if you do mess up in a race, AI drivers will often let you catch up. Additionally, it’s much easier to win boat and jet ski races than it is to win car races in this game.
4. You Can Instantly Spawn Vehicles
Going back to the earlier tip on ammo and health, you can go to the map screen and buy vehicles at the Store. You only need to buy it once, and you can spawn it wherever you are at any time.
