In Belka Games’ latest mobile title called Funky Bay you get to live out this dream while managing your own farm. This unique farming will have you planting crops, raising animals, and creating your own products. You also get to entertain guests and fulfill customer orders as you go along. As you progress in Funky Bay, you can expand your island, and your business, by purchasing nearby property. The more space you have, the more you can produce. Soon, you will have an island bustling with activity. Of course, the more you progress in the game, the more hectic things will become. You will need to manage all aspects of your farm efficiently if you want to succeed. Be sure to check out our compilation of Funky Bay cheats, tips and tricks in order to find out how to run your farm properly!

1. Listen To Larry

See that guy in the jacuzzi with a laptop? That’s Larry. He may look like he is just lounging about doing nothing, but he says he is busy setting up the internet. Despite his busy schedule, he will be kind enough to give you a bunch of orders as soon as you arrive. Listen to what he says because he will walk you through the basics of the game. If you have played other farming games before, you will be familiar with most of the mechanics. However, Larry will explain some of the unique details of the game, so make sure you pay attention.

2. Speed Up For Free

One of the things you will learn from Larry is that you can actually speed up production for free if there is less than 60 seconds left on the timer. While this may not seem like much, it is actually useful for when you are trying to produce specific items for quests. For example, the Blueberry Punch takes exactly 60 seconds to complete. That means as soon as you queue it up, you just need to wait one second and you can complete it instantly. Since a lot of the starting missions require Blueberry Punch, you can produce all the items you need in a matter of seconds as long as you have enough materials.

3. Complete The Quests

After the initial part of the game, a book will appear on the left side of the screen. Tapping on it will give you access to various quests. These quests are useful for guiding your progress in the game. As an added bonus, you will also receive experience, coins, and gems, the game’s premium currency. Don’t worry because the tasks in these quests are those that you would normally complete by actively playing the game. It just helps to know what your tasks are so you can prioritize them. Don’t forget to claim your reward after completing the tasks in order to get the next quest.

4. How To Manage Your Storage

There are two types of storage in Funky Bay. The first one is the Silo. This is where you keep fresh produce such as blueberries and peanuts. The second type is the Barn. This is where you store everything else including building materials and completed products. Both storage types have limited space. Once they are full, you will not be able to harvest any more products until you sell off some of your items. You can dump them in the market, use them in quests or orders, or you can upgrade your storage.

Keep in mind that upgrading storage will require specific building materials. These materials are hard to come by. You will either have to open chests or complete orders for certain characters in order to acquire them. If you are short on materials, it will cost you gems to purchase what you are missing. It is really much better to just manage your storage space by producing just enough of each item to meet customer needs. Avoid overproduction, so you won’t be struggling with storage space. If you are worried about items taking too long to produce, you can line them up for production then just hold off on harvesting until you actually need them.

5. Check The Paddler Requests

Your first customers in the game will be the Paddlers. These are individuals who paddle to your island on their surfboards. They usually only ask for one type of item, making it easier to fulfill their requests. Paddlers reward you with experience and coins for fulfilling their orders. This is an easy way to earn money and experience. On top of that, you can get rid of excess inventory items if you find the right Paddler. If the item a Paddler is asking for is too complicated to make, or is too valuable, you can always decline the request. This way, you can get a new request that could be easier to fulfill.

6. Complete The Boat Orders

Once you repair the pier, you will be able to receive orders from characters. You will notice that the order forms will have different colors. Each color is assigned to a specific character. As we mentioned before, fulfilling orders from specific characters can help you earn certain building materials. Of course, you also receive experience and coins from all the orders you fulfill. You will notice that when you open an order, the character requesting the order will have a portrait with checkboxes on it. Every time you complete an order for that character, one of the boxes will be checked. Fulfilling 6 orders will reward you with a gift from that character. Just as with the Paddlers, you can discard orders that will take too long to fulfill, or those that require items that you don’t have access to yet.

7. Clear Space Strategically

When you start out in Funky Bay, there will only be a small space available to build structures on. The rest of your island will be covered in bushes, trees, and rocks. Grass can easily be cleared by tapping on them. The other obstacles, however, will require specific items to clear. Make sure you think carefully about which obstacles you clear. The items needed for destroying obstacles can only be acquired by opening chests or by completing orders from certain characters. If you use up all your clearing items without paying attention to the space you are clearing, you will end up with random patches that is barely useable. Maximize the space you can unlock by clearing the right obstacles.

If you run out of clearing items, you will need to spend gems, which is really not a good use for premium currency. Hold on to your gems for expanding production slots of high-demand items that take a long time to make. This will allow you to queue up multiple items before you log off from the game, and have a bunch of them waiting for you when you return.

8. Open Up The Chests

As you clear obstacles on the island, you will often find chests. These chests, unfortunately, also need to be cleared in order to build structures. The good news is that you can get a lot of rewards by opening these chests. You can open chests instantly by using keys. If you are out of keys, you will need to pick the lock, and that will take several hours. What’s worse is that you can only open one chest at a time by using the lockpick option. Just as with clearing obstacles, make sure you queue up opening chests strategically in order to free up the right space. If you want to get more keys, you can purchase them using gems. You can also get them randomly by harvesting crops.

9. Check Out The Market

Remember Larry? After you are done with the basic tutorial, he will finally be able to hook up the internet. He still won’t leave the jacuzzi to help you out with farm work, but you will be able to check out the Market by tapping on him. The Market lists the items other players have on sale. This is a good way to find quest items that you need. You can also find clearing items and building materials on the market. If you have a lot of coins to spare, you can usually find a lot of useful items in the Market. The list refreshes every 30 minutes, so just check back from time to time. Make sure you don’t spend gems on refreshing the list manually! It is not worth it, especially since you may not find the item you want even after refreshing.

10. Complete The Achievements

Beside Larry’s jacuzzi is a van with a bit of clutter around it. Tap on this to view the list of Achievements. These mostly involve reaching certain milestones in the game such as harvesting specific crops a number of times, building certain structures, completing specific numbers of orders, and so on. Each Achievement you fulfill will reward you with experience and gems. This is a good way to earn a lot of gems, so make sure you check it often. You will know if you have an Achievement reward waiting for you when there is a trophy icon hovering above the van.

11. Add More Friends To Get Free Gifts

The game has a social system where you can add friends. You can visit your friends’ farms in order to get ideas on better layouts for structures. Aside from this, having a lot of friends means you get to exchange a lot of gifts with them. These free gifts that you can get each day may not seem like much in the beginning, but when you have a lot of friends, they will pile up to a considerable amount. Try to add as many friends as you can. Make sure you regularly check your friends list for inactive players, so you can weed out those who are no longer contributing to your progress.

Really liked the concept of Funky Farm but took forever to get things. So sorry I have deleted the game. I like long playing games.
