DragonSoul Tips, Cheats & Strategies: A Complete Guide to Have a Successful Campaign

PerBlue’s new game DragonSoul challenges you to “save the freaking world,” and if you’ve got an iOS or Android device, that challenge could be yours to undertake. It’s an epic fantasy RPG where you get to “brawl with dragons and mighty monsters in fast and furious battles,” and this game is supposedly so epic that PerBlue boldly claims it isn’t “your grandma’s mobile RPG.” The game includes numerous heroes, each having four deadly powers, eight rarity levels, and totally insane gear. You can play the story campaign or compete against other players in PvP mode. Still, that’s just a quick sampling of what you can do in DragonSoul.

If you’ve just downloaded this game for your Android or iOS device, we suggest that you stop for a moment and check out our DragonSoul strategy guide, so that way you can get a head start on the game and enjoy some success early on. In fact, we’d recommend you go through this strategy guide if you’ve been playing this game for some time, as you just might end up learning something new, or have your memory jogged about something you need to do in order to move forward in the game.

1. Make Sure Your Heroes Are Leveled Up

While your heroes gain experience points automatically once you complete a stage, you can also use XP potions to give them a bit of a boost outside of the battlefield. It’s suggested that you have about five or six of these potions, and use them when you unlock new heroes. You should, however, use them as well on your existing heroes to keep them competitive.

2. Promote Your Heroes Too

Leveling up heroes through stages and XP potions is one thing. But it’s also important that you get them promoted as well. You’ll get different types of equipment during battles, and you can use such equipment on your heroes, or craft new items that you can equip on them later on. That promotes your heroes, and with promotion your heroes will enjoy some improved stats and the ability to equip more items. It is usually best to promote heroes one at a time, with the best ones going first.

3. Follow The Daily Quests And Missions

With each day that you log in and play DragonSoul, you’ll be given new missions and quests. Completing them gives you a lot of free goodies, so don’t hesitate – play them if they’re available and you’ll be better for all the loot and experience you receive.

4. Be Smart When Using Those Deadly Skills

In DragonSoul, the only thing you have to control on your own is the timing in which you use your heroes’ special powers. This is a very important part of each battle, and we would personally suggest that you save them until the final stage, as that’s when you will need them the most.

Putting things into further perspective, you don’t want to use your special skills towards the end of the second stage. You do, however, want to use those powers early in a stage if they’re fully powered up, so you can get off to a fast start. By the time you reach the final stage, chances are they’ll all be recharged anyway. Healers, however, are an exception to this general rule, as it’s best that you use their skills the moment they’re available to use.

5. Replay Specific Missions

As it is in other RPGs and many other types of mobile games, you have the option to replay previously completed stages – that’s what many gamers refer to as grinding. But there is a method to the grinding that you have to follow, and that’s replaying those specific missions where you are supposed to receive a require item. If you don’t get it the first time you play a mission, then repeat it until you receive the item that you need, and more loot in the process.

Tap on the items you want to acquire (or need to acquire), check and see which mission you can find it at, and replay, replay, replay. Organize raids if you’re able to do it, and if you’ve unlocked Auto Raid by scoring three stars in a mission, take advantage of that feature as well.

6. Take Advantage Of The Free Stuff

There are other freebies in the game you can take advantage of, such as the Silver Chest you receive about 10 minutes or so. You can also get Gold Chests every two days. All in all, those chests can give you more of that free and useful stuff you’ll need; if you get a chance to open those chests, do it and you’ll be furthering your progress in the game by doing so.

7. Evolve Your Heroes

Evolving heroes is traditionally a difficult and very expensive thing to do, and that’s certainly the case in DragonSoul. But there are clear benefits to evolving heroes, even if you’ll end up paying an arm and a leg for it. If you evolve a hero, that would give them tremendous stat bonuses, and give you a vital edge in battle.

But what would you need in order to evolve one of your heroes? You’ll need Soulstones for that, and typically they can be found inside the Silver and Gold chests you receive as freebies. (See above.) You can also complete specific missions on Elite level, as that’s another reliable way to get more Soulstones.

8. Play Against Others In Versus Mode

You may think that playing in PvP mode is not necessary when you can choose to play in a single-player campaign, but we actually advise you to take full advantage of this mode. Playing against others in the Pit will allow you to gain more rewards. Check the list of possible opponents and always go for the ones who are easiest to defeat; you’ll know if someone is easy to beat by looking at their power ratings.

Do you need some tips and tricks to unlock every hero in the game? Head over to our second DragonSoul strategy guide, which explains you how to do just that.

Great Balancing between Freeplay and PaytoWin. At the Start i invested about 20 Bucks, and its still good to play without, Enough possibilityes to get Diamonds and its only a bit slower, but thats fine for me :).

I enjoy the game, but I personally don't endorse spending any money on it. I myself lost over a thousand gems the moment I connected the game with google+ and haven't heard back from support on the matter at all other than to tell me I must have spent them on something. Luckily I got my gems through free play, but because of this I definitely don't suggest making any purchases, enjoy the free play and know full well there are times where the servers get a bit buggy.

Don't spend any money on this game guys. So many bugs, errors, crashes, missing items, heroes, etc, and the customer service is the WORST I have seen. Had an issue with a purchase and, I showed proof of this issue. The company called me a liar several times, and refuses to fix my issue. And like I have noticed from numerous other players, this isn't just happening to me. It's been nearly two months and they refuse to fix anything.

I haven't had these problems. To really have any chance in the game, it is best to make a couple of in all purchases. For about $15, you can get 3 months of daily freebies, and a pouch of diamonds, and level 3 cup that allows a lot of extra play. You can easily play 4 plus hours a day. And for that number of daily hours,$15 is not a bad price for the game. However, as one levels up, the amount of items to continue leveling up starts to get ridiculous. So I foresee a point where cost to continue playing g will become prohibative.
