In this game, you will be helping the main character look for his sweetheart. She was taken by a huge angry mole, and you are the only one who can rescue her. She has been taken deep into the mole’s lair, so you will have to do a lot of digging. Luckily, that’s what your character’s day job is. 1. Choose Batteries Over Coins
While you are digging around, you will sometimes come across batteries. These are the blue and red rectangular items buried in the ground. Make sure you prioritize digging towards any batteries you see in the game. That means you will need to snub any coins you see in favor of these power packs. You need power in order to keep digging, and the batteries give you just that. If you are lucky enough to encounter a lot of them during your run, you will be able to go a long way.
2. Hire A Lot Of People
When you hit the end of the road, you have the option to continue, but it’s going to cost you. Hiring a lot of workers helps reduce that cost. The more workers you have, the bigger the discount will be. It will even reach a point where your continue is free, depending on the checkpoint you have reached. While the cost of continuing is influenced by the total number of workers you have, your battery power is determined only by the stats of the worker you have chosen. That means you should always choose the worker with the best battery power in order to maximize your progress.
You also have the option to upgrade your existing diggers at the shop, but it is best if you save that for later. Upgrading a worker will only increase his battery life by one percent. That is hardly worth the cost if you consider that the next worker you unlock will probably have more battery power without having to upgrade.
3. Make Money With Exhibits
Since it is going to take a while before you find your kidnapped sweetheart, it would not hurt for you to make some money. The chests you encounter during your digs will sometimes contain items that can be used in exhibits. These exhibits serve as your passive income in the game. The more items you dig up, the better your income will be. Finding duplicates of the same item also upgrades its earning potential.
If you are looking for specific exhibit items, you can get an idea of what you will get on a certain level by checking the icons. The icons will indicate the exhibit piece you will find at that checkpoint. Keep in mind, however, that it is still randomly generated. You only get a hint, but it will not always be accurate.
4. Grind For Coins
If you are more interested in making money than finding your sweetheart, you can choose to grind for coins. That means you will be prioritizing coins during your digs over anything else. However, since you will be encountering more and more obstacles as you go deeper into the ground, your best option is to die on purpose early on. Just keep going for the easy chests and coins on the upper layers of the ground. Once you start struggling with the obstacles, just end your run on purpose to start over. This makes your coin gathering more efficient compared to trying to get as far as you can in every dig attempt.
5. Pick Up All The Chests
As we mentioned above, you will be encountering chests during your digs. Regardless of whether or not you are hunting for money or aiming for top scores, make sure you take time to pick up any chests you find. These chests provide you with both instant and continuous income. Every time you open a chest, you can get a specific amount of money. The continuous income comes from the exhibit artifacts that you can also get.
6. How To Get Rid Of Ads
Since you are playing a free game, it is expected to encounter quite a few ads. It can get a bit frustrating at times because the ads seem to choose the worst moments to pop up. You will encounter a ton of ads in the game, and it can really mess with your mojo. To get rid of these, you can simply turn off the internet connection of your device. If there is no internet, the game will not be able to access the ads. Keep in mind, however, that you will not be able to take advantage of the continue ad offers if you are offline.
