Choices: Stories You Play Tips, Tricks & Guide: 4 Hints You Need to Know

Choices: Stories You Play is a new mobile game from Pixelberry, the company that brought us the teen-oriented games Hollywood U and High School Story. This new title comes with three different stories, or novels, within one game. Book 1 takes you to Hartfield University, where you play the role of a college student with several choices of dates. Book 2 is a detective story where you have to stop a deranged hitman. And Book 3 is a fantasy story where you can form alliances, master weapons, and choose from different ball gowns and armor, depending on the gender of your character. This is a three-in-one game from the masters and pioneers of story games, and it promises to be a good one.

But with three stories and different settings, this game might become too overwhelming for new players. That’s why we’ve put together an exclusive list of Choices: Stories You Play tips and tricks that are mainly designed for beginner players. These tips will help you out big-time if you’re a newbie, but you can always refer to this guide if you’re an experienced player, whether you’re trying to jog your memory on some basics, or learn new things.

1. How To Switch Stories

When starting any one of the three stories, the game will take you back to that story once you open it on your device. But you have the option to switch to another story if you wish, simply by hitting the home button. That will exit the story you were previously on, but the good thing here is that you won’t lose whatever progress you had made thus far. You can return to that story anytime you want, starting back where you left off.

In addition, you can read the stories in any order – it doesn’t have to be story one, then story two, then story three, or part one, then part two, and so on. It might not sound like the most seamless and intuitive way to play the game, but the game does allow players to read out of order, as long as a certain part does not cost diamonds, which are the premium currency of the game.

2. You Need Keys To Read Chapters

If you want to read a chapter in any story, you will need to spend one key. And once your keys go below two, that will kick off a timer, and you won’t be able to get another key for three hours. Now that’s a pretty long wait, we’d say, and you can wait for the keys to automatically replenish or take advantage of the reward system, which does give you keys as one of the freebies.

3. How To Get More Diamonds

As we mentioned above, diamonds are the game’s premium currency, and you can earn more of them whenever you complete a chapter. That means you should read and play as often as possible so you can get more free diamonds. Diamonds, being premium, are likewise used to unlock premium content, so you’ll want to stock up on them and, if needed, go back to the other books and read them.

4. Replaying Chapters Is Not An Option

Unlike your average game, the option to grind by replaying is not available in Choices: Stories You Play. What you can do instead of replaying specific chapters is to restart a story from square one. Should you decide to do this, simply hit the restart button, which looks like a circle-shaped button with an arrow inside. That will allow you to start from the very beginning, though we don’t see why you would want to do this. You won’t be able to get extra diamonds for completing a chapter for a second time, and that simply means that the option to grind is not available in any way, shape, or form.
