Badland Tips, Cheats & Guide for Completing More Levels

Badland has gotten a lot of positive press from mobile gaming experts, and it’s no wonder why. This “atmospheric” side-scrolling platformer by Frogmind takes place in a strange, yet beautiful forest populated by different creatures and plants. At first, this looks like a pretty forest where nothing can go wrong, but not all is as it seems. You’ll be controlling one of the forest dwellers, and it’s your job to see what’s going on in the forest, playing through over 100 levels in single-player campaign mode or taking part in multiplayer mode, which features 23 levels and more to come in the future.

The forest in Badland truly is proof that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover – there’s danger at almost every corner. But how can you prepare yourself for these dangers, and how can you complete more levels in this game? Read on as we give you some neat Badland tips, tricks and strategies.

1. Be Quick Or Be Dead

The main thing Badland will test you on is your speed. You’ve got to be fast and/or quick at every instance, and since there are power-ups that will slow you down, you’ll want to avoid them. We wonder why they’re even considered power-ups in the first place. You may want to go for the speed power-ups instead, but the catch here is that the game will also move faster, and will keep up with you. In general, you should make the most out of the terrain and use it to make those fast and furious moves through the forest.

2. Learn From Your Mistakes

Fortunately, you’ll have some time to collect yourself before starting the game; games only begin once you’ve started moving. If you lose a level and respawn from a checkpoint, take note of what you had done wrong earlier and try something else so you don’t make the same mistake again.

3. Replay Levels

You’re free to replay levels in Badland if you had somehow missed a level-based achievement and want to go for it again. This isn’t one of those games that frown on the grinding process, so feel free to replay levels for practice and for achievements.

4. Don’t Fear The Terrain…Too Much

There are only a few instances where the terrain may pose a challenge to you and your goals in a level. These include cases where something drops your way from above. Occasionally, you might ram your head into something by accident, and while that won’t be a major issue as far as survival goes, you should avoid these events as much as possible. Not only is speed important here, but safety too.

5. Move Obstacles If You Can’t Get Ahead

Feel like you’ve painted yourself into a corner? Don’t panic and restart your game. Take stock of your surroundings and see if you can move some of the obstacles. This may require smashing and bashing against those obstacles (contrary to what we advised you above), and if that’s what you need to do, then go for it. As the saying goes, it’s a dirty job but someone’s got to do it!
