And we’re back with more Amateur Surgeon 4 for you, as we continue to play through the different levels of the game and talk about what you have to do in order to complete these levels. But for the benefit of those who are joining us for the first time, here’s a little backgrounder on what the game is about. Amateur Surgeon 4 was released earlier this month by Adult Swim Games, and is now available for Android and iOS devices. It puts you in the role of an amateur surgeon with a rather unorthodox set of tools, and your job is to cut through all the patients in the 100 or so levels, and do the right surgical procedures at the right time and with the right tools. Are you up to the task, or is amateur surgery a bit too complex for you? (Take note that we haven’t even mentioned the special events yet.)
Of course, it doesn’t have to be all that complex. That’s because we’ve been serving up Amateur Surgeon 4 walkthroughs and strategy guides for the past couple of weeks. And in this latest walkthrough, we will be moving on to levels 43 to 60 – that’s 18 more patients, and all the things you need to do to heal them of what ails them.
Patient #43 – Animal The Cannibal
Start by creating an incision. Use the tongs to remove the coin and the bones. Use the vacuum to clean up the blood spatters. Follow the staple/cauterize/gel process with the cuts. Create a second incision, then use the tongs to remove all the objects, including the small bones. Use the chainsaw to cut the pelvis apart, and use the tongs to remove the individual pieces. Repeat this latter process with the skull. Vacuum the blood, then use the usual staple/cauterize/gel process for the incision.
Patient #44 – Eddy The Dog (Part 2)
Eddy’s back for a second operation, and for this one, you will start by stapling, cauterizing, and gelling the cuts. Cut out the infection with the pizza cutter. Vacuum up the blood and the goo, and create an incision. Go inside, and remove the kidney with the chainsaw, and pull the individual pieces out with the tongs. Replace the kidney with a new one, and use the lighter and gel to fuse it in place. Use the pizza cutter to cut out the infections, and vacuum the gray debris. Staple, cauterize, and gel the cuts. Pull out the diamond and close the incisions.
Patient #45 – Earnest Pickles
Use gel – a lot of it – on his eyes and mustache, as the goal is to make those parts stop moving. Create an incision. Add gel to the organ so that it stops moving. Create a second incision and repeat the process. Create a third incision and use the tongs to pull out the nails from the doll; that’s going to make it move. Apply gel on the doll so that it doesn’t move. Once the black dots appear, cut along them with the chainsaw and pull out the doll with the tongs. Place the gingerbread man inside, and secure it with the lighter and gel. Close the incisions.
Patient #46 – Animal The Cannibal (Part 2)
You’ve got another repeat patient in Animal the Cannibal, and you’ll want to start out by creating an incision as you often do. Use the chainsaw to cut up the onions until they’re gone; don’t mind the blurry screen while you’re doing so, though we’d say these represent tears. Pull out the tomatoes and cucumbers with the tongs, and vacuum out the blood…and the peas. Staple, cauterize, and apply gel on the cuts. Create a second incision. Use the chainsaw to cut out the onion, but be on the lookout for the screen, which will get a little wobbly. Use the tongs to pull the onion out, and use them again to remove the corn. Vacuum up the blood and peas, and treat the cuts like you normally would. Close the incision, and cut in again. Cut into the fat parts of the organ near the bottom left and top middle with the pizza cutter. Remove the infection by cutting out three slices each, and vacuum out the gray stuff. Cauterize and gel the remaining cuts, and close the final incision to complete the process.
Patient #47 – Ringo Fixit
Remove the shrapnel with the tongs, then vacuum out the blood. Perform the usual healing process on the cuts. Create the first incision and repeat that same process. Create a second incision. Use the pizza cutter to search out the shrapnel found in the left center and upper right of his liver. Remove the shrapnel, vacuum up the blood spatters, then do the old staple/cauterize/gel process on the cuts. Create a third incision. Use the chainsaw to get the kidney free, and pull it out with the tongs.
Patient #48 – Cap’N Splinters
Use the lighter to target the eyes, then use the red syringe to remove the green goo. Use the tongs to pull out the eyes. Create an incision, and don’t mind the squid and its tentacles as you create a second one. Zap the squid with your car battery once it opens its mouth. Wait until the squid gets dizzy, then chainsaw it apart, following the dotted lines. Remove its body with the tongs. You will then go back to the surface of the heart, which is where you’ll have to remove the tentacles. Vacuum the blood, then staple, cauterize, and gel the cuts. Close the top incision and you’re all good to go.
Patient #49 – Princess Starla
Start by creating an incision, then use the lighter to burn the big bubbles. Wait until the bubbles are on fire, then vacuum the fire. Close the incision and use the injector to enlarge her lips. Create another incision. Cut out the top portion of the small bone with the chainsaw, and replace that bone with a new one with the tongs. Use the lighter and gel to secure the bone. Vacuum the blood and seal the incision. Use the lighter to burn the unibrow off. Complete the process by vacuuming the fire.
Patient #50 – Chewtoy Chuck
Use the pizza cutter and spot the two teeth within his skin. Pull out all of his teeth, and treat the cuts by stapling, cauterizing, and gelling. You will notice one cut in the middle right, and another one that’s close to the left side of the screen. You’ll get more of the same in the next two screens. On the second screen, you’ll find the hidden tooth in the kneecap, and on the third, it will be found in his lower right buttocks; otherwise, the entire process is the same as it was on the first screen.
Patient #51 – Jimmy The Spider
Create an incision, and follow up by making another one. Use the car battery to kill the flies, then vacuum the fires and pick up the bubble with the tongs. Close the incision, create a second incision, and repeat the process you did on the first. Finish off by closing all of the incisions.
Patient #52 – Peeping Tom
Use the car battery to open one of his eyelids. Cut into the eye, and use the lighter to burn the bubbles. Vacuum the fire and add gel on the burns. Use the chainsaw to get the vein free, and pull out the vein with the tongs. Place the chip inside and fuse it secure with the lighter and the gel. Open the eye you weren’t working on earlier and repeat everything from the top.
Patient #53 – The Aide
Use the chainsaw to cut into the organ, and the tongs to pull it out. Use the tongs again to place the new organ in, and secure it with the lighter and the gel. Do all those things when working on the second incision. You will then do a third and a fourth incision inside the heart, and once there, you’ll have to use the lighter to detonate the bombs. Vacuum the fire, add gel on the burns, and use the red syringe to suck out the green goo. Close the incisions.
Patient #54 – Dwayne Pipe
Start out by cauterizing and gelling the cuts. Create an incision, use the stapler, then follow up by cauterizing with the lighter and healing with the gel. Create a second incision. Zap out the ants, and close all of his cuts. Watch out for the screen, as it’s going to get wobbly at this point. Once the wobbling finishes, a worm will pop out. Stun the worm with the chainsaw, and make it vanish by means of the red syringe. Repeat that procedure three times, suck out the poison with the red syringe, and use the car battery to zap the bugs dead. Finish up with the usual wound treatment process – staple, cauterize, and gel. You should be good to go.
Patient #55 – Monster
Make an incision. Use the pizza cutter to cut off the clamps, then use your tongs to remove them. Use the chainsaw to cut his arm in half, then remove it. Vacuum out the blood spots. Repeat the process in the second incision, except for one thing – you’ll have to use the tongs first to remove the calculator. Once at the third incision, use the chainsaw to free the chest implement, then use it again to slice it into pieces. Remove the pieces and vacuum up the blood. For the fourth incision, use the pizza cutter to cut the leg clamps, and the chainsaw to cut the legs. Use the tongs to remove the legs and the torso, then vacuum the blood spatters. Chainsaw the brain and the two pieces of monster head once at the fifth incision, and remove them with the tongs. Close the final incision.
Patient #56 – Monster (Part 2)
The Monster makes a comeback as your very next patient, and you’ll be starting out differently, using the tongs to place each piece in the right area. Work your way down from his head to the torso, then to the arms, then to the legs. Use the lighter and gel to secure each p rt. Create an incision, and treat the cuts with the staple, cauterize, and gel procedure. Remove the lungs and replace them one at a time, and vacuum the blood. Close the incision and cut in again. Repeat the above process, except for the heart, then close the last incision.
Patient #57 – Bug Bite Mike
Create an incision. Use the car battery to zap the bug thrice, and use the tongs to remove the bug once you’ve killed it. Vacuum the fire in between zaps, stapling, cauterizing, and gelling the cuts (and gelling the burns) as you go along. Cut out the vertebrae with the chainsaw and remove them. Replace the old vertebrae with the new ones, and cauterize and gel to keep them in place. Vacuum out the blood. Close the first incision, cut in again, and repeat the above process. Close the second incision.
Patient #58 – Tammy Gracefuls
Remove the stakes and use the red syringe to suck out the poisonous goo. Use the car battery to zap the snake, then chainsaw it. Repeat this twice, then pull out the snake with the tongs. Slice out the infection with the pizza cutter, and follow the usual healing procedure on each of the cuts. Create an incision. Kill both snakes and treat the infections. Use the chainsaw to cut the liver out, then pull it out with the tongs. Place the new liver in and keep it in place with the lighter and the gel. Use the tongs to pull out the stakes, and the red syringe to suck out the poison. Vacuum the blood, but don’t treat the cuts just yet; the game will zoom out before you’re able to treat them. Close the incision.
Patient #59 – Sweetmeats Pete
Pull out the fish, vacuum the blood, staple, cauterize, and gel the cuts. Repeat these procedures in the next screen. Use the chainsaw to free the leg fragment, and place the new leg in. Attach both clamps and close the clamps by swiping in a counterclockwise direction. Cauterize and gel the arteries. Use the tongs to move the bones around until they’re fastened properly. Use the lighter and gel to keep the bones in their place. Attach the new leg doing the same procedure, and once again when attaching the second leg.
Patient #60 – Deceased Keith
Use the battery to kill the frog, and burn it with the lighter as it runs around. Do this three times. Use the red syringe to suck the poison out. Create two incisions and deal with the other frogs the same way, also sucking out the poison with the red syringe. Pull the arrows out, but in the reverse direction to where they’re pointing. Follow the cut healing process. Go back to the liver, chainsaw it free, and pull the old one out with the tongs. Place the new liver in, and keep it glued there with the lighter and gel. Vacuum the blood, treat the cuts by stapling, cauterizing, and gelling, and close the incision.
