Alien Path Tips, Cheats & Tricks: 4 Easy Ways to Complete More Levels in Less Time

Alien Path is a new puzzle RPG game in a genre that keeps gradually increasing in popularity. Instead of offering games with the same old Match 3 mechanics, companies are now getting more imaginative, and you may be aware that even WWE has gotten into the thick of things, teaming with Scopely for the recent release WWE: Champions. Alien Path, on the other hand, is not a Match 3 game, but rather a space-themed puzzle RPG that also comes with path-planning and strategy elements, as you travel from planet to planet and face off against the robots, saving these worlds from evil and, once everything’s said and done, saving the entire galaxy. You can also hatch and upgrade new aliens, collect Power Cards with “thousands” of skill combinations, and test your strategic skills, using active and passive skills alike in battle.

Now, that we’ve gotten you briefly oriented on what to expect, it’s time to tell you what you need to be doing in order to properly play this unique puzzle game. With all the different genres thrown into the mix, it may be hard at times to figure out what to do, but these Alien Path tips and tricks should at least give you a good idea of how to proceed, while offering some basic strategies along the way.

1. Familiarize Yourself With The Board

Everything starts with the board, and you will notice different tiles whose purpose may be confusing at first. But that’s why we’re here – we’re going to be teaching you the basics, and that includes what those tiles represent. For starters, you’ve got your arrows – you’ll need to switch things around with these pieces, allowing your character to travel down the right path. You’ll see pieces representing your enemies, as well as breakable blocks and stones containing items that may help you along the way.

Those may be the basic piece types, but there’s more than arrows, enemies, and breakable stuff. You will also see potions that you can pick up if you need to heal your character. Lastly, you will see some crystals, which can be used to restore the energy of your character. We might as well mention a few other pieces that don’t have any real purpose aside from serving as platforms to jump off from.

2. Some Basic Advice For Maneuvering Your Alien

This is a game that tests how well you’re able to make the most out of your moves, and how quickly you can make the right moves. But since everyone starts off at the very beginning, you should start out by destroying enemies in the level so that you can make your way through it faster. Adjust the position of the arrows so you can destroy enemies in any given direction, but take note that doing this will cost you some energy; be careful not to run out of it! As mentioned above, crystals could restore your energy if you’re running low.

Aside from minding your energy, you should also be careful not to lose too much health. If your health is in jeopardy, use the potions to restore those lost health points; you don’t want your HP to reach zero. And if you remember those immovable blocks, you’ll need to make good use of them as well, just as we’ll be telling you in our very next tip.

3. The Almighty Combo

You will need to platform off blocks or off walls in order to string together most combos. And just like it is in other games of this kind, combo-ing will be your best friend in your quest to earn more coins, and your best friend in the game in general. How do they work, though?

You may be aware that you earn coins each time you get rid of enemies. But if you can get a combo chain going, you can earn more coins than you usually would. If your string is at about two to four, you can earn up to 50 to 150 percent more coins. Bouncing off platforms, as mentioned, can allow you to earn more coins, as that’s going to have you dealing out more damage. And if you make good use of your ability cards, you could really extend that combo string, especially if those cards pertain to area-of-attack skills.

4. How To Collect More Aliens

As usual, it’s a good idea to stick to your stock character for as long as possible, meaning as long as they’re effective. But you will ultimately need to collect more aliens in this game by collecting certain DNA strains on the board in select levels. Go ahead and collect them if you see them, as they may not be too common. Collecting enough DNA strains will allow you to hatch a new alien. Make sure you’re regularly upgrading your aliens, allowing them to get through those boards faster and more accurately.
